LOLANA — Restaurant in Úbeda

Great restaurant. The owner spoke good English and helped us with the menu. He chose our wine which was amazing. Lovely dry white from the north of Madrid. The food was a taste explosion. My ptner got the Grandma Lola’s meatballs and I had a sort of terrine with prawns & Avocado. We also were given a small starter complementary which was delicious and warm bread with olive oil. We loved it all and the ambiance we went back the next night and I had the Monk fish and my ptner had like a chicken filo dish. We managed a lovely desert which I think was a lemon cake ( like cheesecake) and another great wine choice. Can highly recommend. Wow, couldn't have been better served from start to finish. The menu is varied and you might have a problem choosing as there are maybe 3 or 4 things that you want to order. We had the lamb shank, meatballs (albóndigas), duck and false risotto...amazing. The attention to detail and the mix of flavours was one of the things that we all agreed on. Absolutely amazing experience! The waiter was very kind, social and helped us in his best English (much better than most people here 😉).
