Big Al's Ranch — Restaurant in Alaior

First and last experience is all I can say, we went with high hopes (me and girlfriend) and we ordered patatas alioli and patatas bravas to start, which were literally what felt like microwaved potato chunks with sauce, for her aliolo which okay was good, mine some spicy siracha mayo. Honestly just plain boring and below average. Then, I had the rodeo burger, which was looking good on the menu, it was nothing special, again like a bad meal from a uk pub, heated up food, barely any sauce, chips were like cardboard, and her basically hunters chicken was bland, tasteless chewy dry chicken, again with bland this time chunky chips. We didn’t finish either as other places in the area are just so much better and food to such a high standard this was disgusting in comparison, also heard another women complain about a prawn salad too while we were waiting for our food. 55 euro for heat up dry food, drinks were nice though, can’t fault a pint of beer and cider. But bottom line, I can’t recommend it less to anyone and will warn my family who stay often not to even try the place, I can’t let them go through it. ‘Steakhouse’.. We have visited this place lots of times before Covid-19 put payed to holidays abroad & was great to get back & meet the owner & staff again. They always make you feel welcome & have always got time to chat & ask how your enjoying your holiday. The menu has slightly changed but there's still the favourites that we enjoy so much we started with the Nachos which was gorgeous & plenty to share between 4 of us. Our group of six ate here on three occasions; one evening meal and two breakfasts. Food is delicious, with generous portions and staff are very friendly. On our last day we went for breakfast and arranged for the taxi to collect is from there to take us to the airport. When the taxi did not show, the owner spent time phoning the taxi company and trying to rearrange drivers etc. They really put their customers first. We will definitely be going back when we return...
