My main complaint was the service, I didn’t find the staff hospitable. They almost made you feel like you were an inconvenience to them for being there. I’d understand if the restaurant was busy, but there were max 10 tables with 3 front of house staff. Taking my order took time (I nearly walked out at this point, but as I gathered my things she came over and took my order). I hadn’t initially been given a drinks menu so once she took my food order she said she’d stand a wait for me to select a drink. Once the food arrives the guy quickly drops it at the table and doesn’t look at me or say a single thing or ask if I want sauces. Then I wait for another waiter walk past to grab me the sauce which he does, along with some salt, pepper etc so I assume that’s the normal set up they give you when you order a burger.
The food was excessively salty, but manageable with a guzzle of drink between bites. They took my plate rather quickly once I finished, no one asked if I wanted any more drinks or dessert. So I just decided to leave. When leaving I ask for the bill. The guy (potentially the manager but who knows) doesn’t even show me the bill or the total cost, he just points a card machine at me after confirming how I’d like to pay. So I proceed to ask to see the bill, cause I’d like to know how much I’m paying and paying for (which is the basic process in any restaurant - show the customer the bill). After I confirm the bill, I leave. That final interaction sealed the deal for me. I never leave negative reviews, but they honestly made me feel uncomfortable whilst dinning there. Read moreHaving had the misfortune of selecting this restaurant for our dinner, lured in by the pleasantly looking interior, the striking feature which was noticable immediately upon being seated is the arrogance of the staff. The staff does not seem to care about the client and treats him dismissively. Upon being shown to your table, by the waiter who quite clearly does not want to be there, placing an order proves to be quite challanging. After numerous requests and reminders to various waiters asking for the menu, we graciously received it after 20 minutes. However the waiting time which is required to receive the menu or place your order does not even remotely compare to the time it takes to actually receive anything you ordered. Just receiving bread, which is usually handed out in restaurants promptly after you are seated takes well over 45 minutes despite multiple polite reminders to staff, which were struck down condescendingly, making the client feel like he truly does not matter. This is personally the worst service I have experienced in any restaurant, and the rudeness of the staff is something unprecedented that I never thought to be possible. Firstly, our drinks order was wrong. I ordered a matcha latte not a mocha latte (staff need to get to know the products).
Then we were left waiting ages to have our food order taken. There were 2/3 tables trying to get the servers attention. We had been there a long time before them.
So I went to grab the waitress and as we were walking back to our table she took someone else’s order. Honestly I was in shock!
Then when she finally came to us and took our food order I asked her why she took their order when I was the one who actually got up to get her. Her reply ? “Is that it?” No apology or anything. I asked if she could cancel our food order and have the bill for the drinks because out of principle I couldn’t eat there. Even when she brought the bill she just grunted and didn’t acknowledge anything.
