2nd visit
With out a doubt the most disappointing restaurant visit since moving to Alicante.
It is possible to get amazing paella in Alicante but the paella here at toch was extremely bad by far the worst we have had so far. It is like you are not even eating the same dish so do not judge paella after trying it here.
And like the first visit here they charge for the bread though you do not touch it and hope you just pay.
This time they charged more the 7 euro for a small basket of bread, the same size as our first visit where it cost 3 euro something.
They even said that if you do not ask us to remove it from the table you have to pay the more then 7 euro for that small basket no matter if you touch it or not.
Though we live just next to the restaurant we will never come back - there are many good restaurants in the area run by nice people this is for sure not one of them and not worth wasting time and money on.
1st visit
First the Price is it overpriced? Yes a bit. There are only a few restaurants in the center that are more expensive and they have better location and a bit better food then what we had today.
The food:
The tuna really good with a nice kick of wasabi.
Calamari a la plancha best calamari we ever had and we lived in Malta before moving to Alicante. And they love calamari.
Passion fruit dessert really good and amazing smell.
Living 500 meters away we will definitely comeback and taste more.
And one small minus that arround 1/3 of the restaurants do.
Bring the bread with out you asking for it and though you do not touch it they put in one the bill and hope you do not notice. In this case 3.50 euro for a bit of bread.
We eat it and pay if it seems homemade and they have a good olive oil.
That was not the case here - they did remove it from the bill...

Amazing high-end place. If you dont mind paying the extra buck for high end top notch food, this is the place to go. Second time we eat here, amazing both times. Segunda vez que voy y sabor agridulce. Me explico cuando pagas, y ojo que hay productos que lo valen, una cantidad que supera la media esperas que esté justificado.
Todo lo que comimos estaba muy bueno. Ensaladilla, croquetas, tartar, quisquilla, postres… pero no me compensa el ruidoso ambiente y que tengas a camareros pegando berridos de comandas y mucho menos que vaya detrás del camarero cuando me recibe y me lleva a la mesa y que se pare a pedir a cocina. ¿Perdón?
Para empezar no estaría mal podar las plantas para que se vea el nombre del local sin tener que buscarlo. Gracias Google. Después si vas a cobrar haz que la experiencia sea uniforme y escribo esto porque la cocina fue excelente. Algo subida de precio, pese a que tiene calidad, pero cada uno en su casa cobra lo que considera. Eso si haz que todo esté acorde.
