Pintxo Kalea — Restaurant in Alicante

We had such a great dinner at Pintxo Kalea! I went with my family and everything about the evening was perfect. The staff were super friendly and really on top of things, which made us feel so welcome.

The food? Incredible. The croquetas—especially the croqueta de cabrales—were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. The steak was amazing too, full of flavor and cooked just right. The chipirones, The mango salad, the descanso del pelegrino, or tortilla de bacalao are a MUST try!! They’ve got a great wine list that paired perfectly with the meat, and the dessert (Ahivalahostia) was out of this world. I still think about it!

It’s also a fantastic place if you’ve got kids. There's a little playground to keep them busy in front of the restaurant and they have a separate menu with all the kid favorites—burgers, nuggets, and pasta.

Overall, Pintxo Kalea is a gem in Alicante (San juan) and a total must-visit. 10/10—we’ll definitely be back! And if you haven’t gone you are really...

A friend and I sat down to have something to drink and have a chat, this place has such a nice atmosphere and the staff was simply lovely. Everyone is extremely kind and friendly and the small cocktail snacks that were brought with the drinks were great especially in comparison to a few other places we’ve been to. The vibes are simply lovely for having a chill time and a chat in fresh air. They have speakers playing music loud enough to hear clearly but not play over conversation, which overall adds to the entertainment of a good conversation.

I understood that it is part of a chain of restaurants, but even knowing this I can tell you that the quality is really good. We were 4 people and the bill came up to approximately 200 euros. That was fair considering we had 2 bottles of one of the best red wines in the menu. Meat was really tender and tasty, and you cook it as you want it over a hot stone. Wagyu steak was amazing!
