Disgusted isn’t the word. If the goal was to be racially profiled they would succeed with flying colours. We were greeted with the most arrogant of manners. At first I thought it was an innocent encounter that is expected on a busy Saturday night that they did not attend to us in a welcoming fashion. As more than 30 minutes went by,waiting for a table that was promised to us,we got a table that could not accommodate to our group and had to be split in two groups as they never had enough space in one table in the first place ! Atrocious!! As well the staff was extremely condescending insinuating that I cannot speak Spanish when I very clearly said I could from the beginning and kept asking me saying if I can speak Spanish although I have lived in Spain for multiple months , have a C1 level of Spanish but I fear they could not see this because they could not see past my complexion. After this busy Saturday night passed we decided to give Vino y Más a second chance as we believed it was an innocent encounter and approached the bar when it was much calmer on a weeknight. We were approached with the exact same disgusting and unmannerly attitude. We were again (now in a smaller group of 3) seated at a table with a table that couldn’t accommodate all of us .. only two seats. What is one of meant to do stand for the whole night for an overpriced glass of wine ? I don’t think so. Not to mention the whole restaurant was empty and their miserable excuse was that we were not eating. Are you sure that was the issue or was it that we are not Spanish as the patterns in the reviews suggest. If giving 0 stars was an option I’d look for the option to give...
Read moreBizarre is the only way I can describe it. Provided with a menu and then watched as every other table was served for around 15 minutes. I then thought given it was a busy night I’d go to the bar. I stood at the bar where the bar man made an effort to ignore me to the point I felt so embarrassed for myself trying to get his attention that I sat back down at our table. My partner finally got the waiters attention after another 10 minutes or so and was told “ok one second” to which he then proceeded to ignore us again and polish glasses. We tried with good effort again to get his attention to ask for a drink and it was ignored again. Such a lovely bar with a great atmosphere but honestly bizarre is the only way to describe the service. We had to finally leave after nearly 30 minutes after realising we were not going to be served. The effort that went into not serving us was 10/10, they actively avoided us. Was it because I was...
Read moreI recently visited Vino y Mas in Alicante, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing meal. The highlight of my visit was definitely the wine selection — a perfect pairing with the dishes. The wines were exquisite, offering rich and refined flavors that truly enhanced the entire dining experience.
Additionally, I highly recommend the scallops. They were cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a treat! Our waiter, Alex, was attentive and provided excellent service, making the evening even more enjoyable. The combination of great wine, delicious food, and outstanding service made for a truly memorable night. I will definitely be returning to Vino y Mas next time I'm...
