Did not get to have the food, so cannot rate it. My issue is that the owners take the pet friendly rule too far. Their dog was unleashed and allowed to be all over the restaurant, going from table to table. While that might be fine with some people, not everyone is. It had also just rained, and the dog smelled. That is disgusting, especially in a food establishment. The rule is that dogs inside establishments should be on a leash, the dogs should behave and NEVER come in contact with anyone handling food and much less go into where food is being prepared. Not being on a leash, the dog was everywhere. The dog came in under our table. I called the owner to get it out. She came and grabbed it...same person serving food. Then said the restaurant is pet friendly "did I not read the sign?" Well, the sign is on the bottom left corner of a door that was open, so not exactly obvious. Signs should be clearly visible, so that customers can decide if they are comfortable with that as again, not everyone is. We decided to cancel our order, paid for our drinks and left. Will absolutely not go back.
In your reply, you forgot to address the fact that the dog was unleashed, going from table to table, and that the sign on the door is on the bottom left of the door, which was open, so not clearly visible. Also, you might be used to dog smells, I am not. The dog stunk.
Apologize to a dog...ha! You...
Read moreI wasn’t going to write a review because my dining companion already did, but the owner continues to deny their wrongdoing. To preface what I am about to write I actually love dogs but I don’t agree with allowing them in restaurants. Either way - the rule is the dog must be leashed, and not disturb customers. The owners dog was allowed to roam the restaurant freely (unleashed = unlawful) and eventually made its way to our table and was circling around and sniffing - (bothering customers = unlawful) We asked the owner to get the dog from under our table and she raised her voice at us about the sign outside (it was not visible to any customer walking in). To be clear when they brought the dog in (leashed) and sat with some regulars we had no problem. It’s when they unleashed the dog to roam, that we asked for our check (for the wine we already had) and left. We were made to look like the wrongdoers here and it was embarrassing. All I ask is that you...
