Café Bar Barea - Almería — Restaurant in Almeria

My visit to this tapas restaurant in Spain was nothing short of a nightmare. Not only did they serve me a dish I didn’t order and then refuse to rectify the mistake, but the food itself was appalling. The grouper, supposed to be a delicacy, was a cold, unappetizing mess.

To make matters worse, I opted for something as basic as spaghetti bolognese, thinking it would be a safe choice. Little did I know, it was not only tasteless but also left me with a stomach ache that forced me to cut my evening short.

This establishment managed to achieve the unthinkable: they both poisoned me and stole from me. It’s shocking how a restaurant can operate with such disregard for its customers. I hope my experience serves as a warning to others seeking a pleasant dining...

The location is the best part, a buzzing area with a constant flow of people going past. I sat in the outdoor section, ordered a tostada and tea. Unfortunately it was nothing special and I wouldn't rush back anytime. One of the waitresses was kind and brought me honey after the first one had forgotten all about it.

I noticed several people arriving and having to wait a while before anyone noticed their order hadn't been taken.

A lovely find by the church. Outside terrace and brightly lit interior, accessed by a push button on the door for ingress and egress. Owner/ manager is friendly and helpful - and the staff too. Food is good, freshly made and plentiful, drinks are served promptly. We had a good meal with drinks, coffee and cake and the price was very reasonable. We shall...
