Our dining experience was great. However, it was a little bit overpriced from my point of view. Which is why I gave them 4 stars.

We ordered the following:

Tuna with tomato salad. Great taste. I have never tried as fresh tomatoes as these ones.

-Potatoes with octopus. Perhaps the best dish of the night. It was very similar to “patatas bravas”. They came with some sort of mayonnaise, which added a lot of flavor.

-Tuna with cus cus. It was okay, nothing extraordinary.

-Rib eye (entrecot). Soft, salty and tender. Was served with some vegetables on the side. For the price (around 50€) it was a small portion.

-Desserts (my favorite part). We had the brownie with ice cream and the cheesecake. I would advise people not to order any. Save some...

We went to the Tomate restaurant in Almeria last week, having been recommended to go there and it was just so awesome, the waiter who so much looked after us with his recommendations, the chefs who prepared the most amazing dishes and the atmosphere created alltogether such a wonderful evening. We have been travelling through the East Coast of Andalusia for 3 weeks and this restaurant is by far the best we have encountered. We loved the whole experience and recommend to anybody, who loves to be looked after together with beautiful food, to go to Tomate, you definately...

This is the best place in Almería! I stopped by occasionally, and returned once again. Their food is to die for, all these tapas are masterpieces, a totally ideal balance of tastes and terrific presentation! They have a great choice of Spanish wines and a bar worth of a 5-star hotel, and all at extremely affordable prices! But the best part is service - the best ever! Kudos to you guys! You do know how to make a guest feel truly loved! I’m sad to leave Almeria :(

And YES - I don’t have a sweet tooth, but their deserts are TO DIE FOR...
