Saturday 18th January we decided to go to spend an evening at Dubliner as we have done many other times, as we have been residing on the island for several years, and Dubliner has always been one of the most popular places for us for good music and the sympathy of the singers. That evening we were up to one o'clock to listen to music on the ground floor, because in our friend's company there is our dear Lars who unfortunately is forced into a wheelchair due to a serious accident, so he has difficulty moving comfortably especially in places very crowded with people. As the attached pictures testify, we took a drink many times and spent over 80 euros in 6 people. Unfortunately we have no other evidence besides the pictures and a video where you can see some of the drinks, because in this place they do not issue any type of ticket or receipt. At one o'clock the music on the ground floor ends and the singers start singing in the underground, so since we were all very happy, we decided to try to bring Lars downstairs using the way behind the club. Of course, we brought along the glasses of the drinks that we had not yet finished. To stay close to Lars, we positioned at a fairly large point near the waiters' desk, and continued to listen to music and have fun, without realizing that we were "watched" from above by a man who then introduced himself as the owner of the place. We want to clarify that during the time spent down, two people in our group still took drinks by sharing the glasses with the others, to avoid getting to drink too much and continue to have perfect control of ourselves without exceeding, because we are people at who doesn't like to go further. After about an hour that we were down to listen to the music, the aforementioned man began to scream at us from above, but not knowing who he was and in the confusion of the place, we ignored him thinking that it was someone who had drunk too much. After a few minutes, however, the man approached and began to ask why we were not drinking, saying that he had "watched" us for a while and that it is not possible to stay inside the pub without drinking. To our complaints he said he was the owner of the place and asked us in a bad way to go out, asking to his bodyguards to accompany us outside and leaving us very disappointed... This is the reason of the 2 stars and we look forward to this...
Read moreThe Dubliner, Irish Corner, Playa de las Americas. Guinness @ €5.50 and it wasn't that good to be honest. Local lager - Dorada @ €4.00 THE Gin and Tonic was served in a glass from the 1980s There were 12 staff, yes 9 + 3 behind the two bars just serving. I wouldn't like to say how many floorstaff. BUT THE TOILETS were absolutely disgusting, with no toilet seats, the floor was swimming, the toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall and the toilet roll was on the floor but at least the Gents had paper, the ladies did not.Its a fantastic bar with Superb entertainment byt how come busiest bar in the whole of the canaries allows it's toilets to be so disgusting and yet is so unbelievably BUSY, it is a disgrace, this is 2025 and not 1978, the management should be ashamed, have they given up or just taking the piss. The terrace chairs are old and sagging too. Come on MANAGEMENT, YOU CAN DO BETTER TO OR EVEN CARE. There are TWO new Irish Bars opening soon on the other side of...
Read moreHave been to the Dubliner several times over the last 10yrs and I keep hoping each time I go back the toilets are 'habitable'. But each time I enter the gents I am faced with the same sight....tissues stuck in water in the sink, which is clogged and water all over the floor where the urinals and the two cubicles are. In other words standing in water to do a pee. It may well be clean during the day....but with the amount of punters in the place in the evening, two cubicles is by no means sufficient. With the female toilets literally beside the gents and the toilet door left open permanently, and the constant queue outside the female toilets having to look in at men going to the toilet, means that their toilet facilities are also way too insufficient. Get your act together and get it sorted, it's...
