Fun and friendly hotel in nice central location, with friendly helpful staff. I had a room which did not overlook the pool, but the main road, which I actually found quite nice as there is always people and groups walking by and added a bit of variety when chilling on the balcony with a drink. Road view rooms definitely recommended for fellow curtain twitchers! Sunbeds: I went in May half-term. On hot sunny days, it was much busier, but I still was able to get sunbeds when I needed them mid morning. Maybe after 10-10:30am it may get more challenging. Although there was the usual people reserving, it was still not too bad and most people actually used them rather than going away for the day. Plenty of signs about saying beds not allowed to be reserved etc, but no enforcement. Food: I thought the food was good. I used the restaurant for breakfast and lunch only and there were plenty of choices and specials on every day. Seen lots of negative reviews about the food so not sure why. It was definitely ok for the price I paid which was very cheap. Queues: There are queues, mainly from the all inclusive people. I was half board so found it much cheaper to pop the 30 seconds across the road to Supermarket for drinks and snacks. Entertainment: On every night and was nice to have this option. I saw magicians, Spanish dancers, singers. Other guests: As some others have mentioned, other guests smoking weed openly, some quite loud and brash. However, this is Tenerife in general now, certainly in Playa de las Americas! Check-Out: Was not able to get a late check out, but there are very nice shower rooms with gel and shampoo available, to freshen up before a late flight.

First things first restaurant alot of cockrouches walking about even in the breakfast cups and by the drinks machine. Breakfast not hot and repeated items If you want anything off the hot plate in the morning or evening the people waiting blocks the other items that someone may want, same by the ice cream items blocked by the people waiting, Evening meals are the same.with the same issues as above, One thing it seems if you go all inclusive you get better thought of one example there is 2 sizes of water the inclusive people get the larger one. If you want a kid free hotel this is not for you. Entertainment most nights after a few drinks is bearable. All drinks and food you purchase is put to you room with a maximum amount of 250 euros on yiur bill, Sunbeds are locked until 10.00am most days so people start taking the chairs to reserve a spot. Even though in the lift it says reserved places with towels these will be romoved and put near the pool bar. This does not happen hotel reception very clean carpets to bedrooms covered in stains. Bar service at the pool very slow due to them being on there own, cooked food at the pool not badly priced but can be a long wait. Area around the pool only cleaned first thing in a morning,so if anyone drop any items it stays there until the following day. Update Thanks for your reply re sunbeds This morning 9th July people were taking them from the pods nothing done, towels out on them so the policy in the lift is just words, people taking chairs from the shelter by pool nothing done.

Arrived here on the 28th April ‘25 for one week. All the staff were helpful and friendly straight away. The room was nice and clean as you would expect. Great view too. We stopped Half Board and had meals in everyday. Plenty of choice everyday for everybody’s needs. Special themed days too. Chinese ,Mexican,America, Spanish etc. Even though there is the old age problem of people reserving sun beds next to the pools, there are plenty of them stacked up and you can go where you want with them. On a slightly cool/overcast day, we went in the spa and it was nice and quiet. Only about 8 people in. All bar prices were sensibly priced. 4 Euros for a beer. Bar staff were busy at times but were always friendly. The hotel is next to the lovely Av. las Americas which has plenty of nice shops,Amusements ,supermarkets and restaurants including Hard Rock Cafe. We also visited Jungle Park which is only a Free bus ride away. Would we stay here again….YES. Well done to ALL staff at the Alexandre Hotel La Siesta.

Good Stay at Alexandre La Siesta, But Not for Us 🏨☀️

We stayed at Alexandre La Siesta in Tenerife for 4 nights in April on a Half Board basis as part of our Marella Cruise & Stay package. After disembarking the Marella Explorer, we took a 45-minute transfer from Santa Cruz to Playa de las Américas.

🏨 Hotel Overview

This 4-star hotel has 280 rooms, a main buffet restaurant, a pool bar, and an evening entertainment bar. It’s well-located in a pedestrianised area, just a 2-minute walk from the beach.

🛏️ Our Room (345, Third Floor)

✔️ Spacious with a large double bed & built-in USB sockets ✔️ Plenty of storage (wardrobe, drawers) ✔️ TV, fridge, safe, sofa & dressing table ✔️ Balcony (overlooked the car park but had great mountain views 🏔️) ✔️ Large bathroom with a proper bath (rare these days!) ✔️ Hairdryer & toiletries included

Overall, a comfortable and well-equipped room!

🏊 Pools & Grounds

The hotel is built around a large communal area with 3 pools: ✅ Toddler pool 👶 ✅ Heated pool for general swimming 🌊 ✅ Larger pool for activities 🎯

There were plenty of sunbeds available throughout the day, and the area was spotlessly clean. The rooftop sunbed area (adults only) offered amazing views but no bar service.

The grounds had well-maintained palm trees, cacti, and plants 🌴🌵. There were also Bali beds and jacuzzis for extra relaxation.

🍽️ Food & Drinks

The buffet restaurant serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. There was a good variety of food with options for all tastes, though the restaurant had a cafeteria-style feel.

The pool bar offered typical fast food & light lunch options. It was cashless, and everything was charged to your room. However, service was sometimes slow due to understaffing.

The main hotel bar had indoor & outdoor seating, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Drinks included cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic options 🍹🍺. Evening entertainment was standard – singers, jugglers & flamenco dancers.

🎾 Activities & Facilities

🏸 Sports: Tennis, Gym, Table Tennis, Pool Tables 💆 Spa: Massages & beauty treatments (extra cost) 🎯 Animation Team: Pool games, darts, archery 👶 Kids Club: Activities for younger guests

The hotel lobby had a small shop, an ATM, a luggage weighing service, and a rep area for excursion bookings.

🌍 Location & Surroundings

The hotel’s location is both a strength and a weakness.

✅ 2-minute walk to the beach 🏖️ ✅ Shops, bars & restaurants right outside 🏬 ✅ Electric scooters available nearby 🛴 (easy to use & fun!) ✅ Great connections to Los Cristianos & Costa Adeje

However, Playa de las Américas is very busy and can feel crowded compared to the quieter areas of Los Cristianos & Costa Adeje.

👍 What We Liked

✅ Spacious & well-equipped room ✅ Great pool area with plenty of sunbeds 🏖️ ✅ Perfect location for nightlife & shopping 🛍️

❌ What We Didn’t Like

❌ Very busy area – not as relaxing as other Tenerife resorts ❌ Pool bar often understaffed 🍹 ❌ Evening entertainment was hit & miss 🎤

❓ Would We Stay Again?

Probably not – but that’s down to the location, not the hotel. La Siesta is a good hotel with clean rooms, helpful staff & great facilities, but Playa de las Américas is too busy for our liking.

If you prefer a quieter holiday, you might want to consider Los Cristianos or Costa Adeje instead.

5-Star Service at La Siesta Hotel – Ramon is the Best!

We just returned from a stay at La Siesta Hotel in Tenerife, and the highlight of our trip was definitely the amazing service at the pool bar from Ramon. From the moment we met him, he turned a good holiday into a truly unforgettable one with his warmth and personality.

What made Ramon’s service outstanding: • Friendly and welcoming attitude • Great sense of humour • Top-notch, high-quality cocktails and service • Hard-working and attentive to every guest • Makes every guest feel special

A Warm Welcome and Friendly Attitude

Ramon greeted us every day with a big smile and a genuine welcome. He immediately made us feel at home at the bar, remembering our names and even our favourite drinks after just one visit. His positive energy set the tone for each evening – we could be tired from sightseeing, but his cheerful attitude always lifted our spirits.

Humour That Keeps Everyone Entertained

One of Ramon’s best qualities is his fantastic sense of humour. He had us and other guests laughing with funny stories and light-hearted jokes while we enjoyed our drinks. Even on busy nights, he never lost his friendly banter. He somehow managed to keep everyone entertained while still staying on top of orders. This made the bar feel less like a hotel lounge and more like a gathering of friends.

High-Quality Service and Delicious Drinks

The service Ramon provides is truly top-notch. Not only does he work quickly (we never waited long for our cocktails, even when the bar was full), but the quality of the drinks is excellent. He crafts delicious cocktails with care – each drink was perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. If you’re unsure what to order, Ramon will happily recommend something great (and he never missed the mark with his suggestions!). His attention to detail and pride in his work really show in every glass he serves.

Hard-Working and Attentive

Ramon’s work ethic is second to none. We often saw him juggling multiple orders, cleaning up, and checking on guests all at once, always with that same smile on his face. He genuinely cares about his guests, which shows in how he regularly checked if we needed anything else and remembered small details (like offering extra napkins or asking if we enjoyed our day). Despite the rush, he remained calm and attentive, making sure everyone was taken care of. His dedication did not go unnoticed, as many guests (including us) commented on how exceptional he was.

Enhancing the Guest Experience

Thanks to Ramon, our afternoon at La Siesta Hotel were more than just a stop for a drink – they were a highlight of our holiday. He has a knack for making every guest at the bar feel special and welcome. His combination of friendliness, humour, professionalism, and hard work creates an atmosphere that greatly enhances the overall guest experience. We honestly felt like VIPs under his care.

Ramon is a true asset to La Siesta Hotel. He turned our stay from good to extraordinary with his personality and service. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! We can’t wait to come back, and a big reason is to enjoy Ramon’s wonderful hospitality once more. If you find yourself at La Siesta in Tenerife, do yourself a favour and visit the bar – you’ll be in...

La Siesta Hotel

My recent stay at La Siesta Hotel marked another fantastic holiday, reaffirming why it has become our preferred getaway destination. Having visited in November/December 2023 last year and enjoyed every moment, our decision to return was undoubtedly the right one.

For avid beach enthusiasts like us, the 10-minute walking distance from the hotel to the beach was a major plus. The convenience of being so close to the sandy shores allowed us to indulge in our love for the sea effortlessly. The easy access to the beach was a defining feature that contributed significantly to our overall enjoyment.

The entertainment team at La Siesta Hotel deserves special mention. Their enthusiasm and creativity added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. From engaging activities to lively performances, the team went above and beyond to keep guests entertained. Their dedication truly enhanced the overall holiday experience.

Food at La Siesta Hotel maintained its high standard, and we found ourselves spoiled for choice. The culinary offerings exceeded expectations, ensuring that we never went hungry. The variety in the menu and the quality of the dishes showcased the hotel's commitment to providing a top-notch dining experience.

The drink options at La Siesta Hotel were equally delightful. A diverse selection of beverages ensured that there was something for everyone. From refreshing cocktails to quality non-alcoholic options, the drink menu complemented the overall experience perfectly.

In summary, our holiday at La Siesta Hotel was nothing short of blissful. The combination of a convenient beach location, exceptional entertainment, delicious food, and refreshing drinks made for a perfect escape. We wholeheartedly recommend La Siesta Hotel to fellow travelers seeking a memorable and rejuvenating getaway. As for us, this won't be the last time we visit. We're already counting down the days until our next return to this paradise. La Siesta Hotel has truly become our home away from home.

A Special Thanks to Dacil:

I want to extend a massive "Muchas Gracias" to Dacil, a true gem among the staff at La Siesta Hotel. Her professionalism and helpful nature have become synonymous with our experiences at this wonderful establishment. Dacil consistently goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcomed and attended to.

Her attention to detail and genuine care for the guests contribute significantly to the overall positive atmosphere of La Siesta Hotel. Whether it's providing valuable local insights or promptly addressing any inquiries, Dacil's dedication to her role shines through.

In the world of hospitality, it's individuals like Dacil who make a real difference. Her commitment to excellence is commendable, and I am grateful for the consistently outstanding service she provides.

To Dacil and the entire team at La Siesta Hotel, thank you for making each visit memorable. Your professionalism and warmth are truly appreciated and contribute to the exceptional experiences that keep us coming back. Muchas...
