AVOID! Food is disgraceful! How on earth can you give a vegan food poisoning?! It's veg!! My brother had GREEN chicken?! And the other meats were grey! Both of us were awake all night spewing our guts up and had a never ending flow on the toilet. What a disgrace! ÂŁ40 for food poisoning. I'll be contacting the relevant authorities to check this place out as clearly they're storing meat wrong and it's causing non meat eaters to get ill also. Food was stinking anyway, even if it didn't make us ill. As for the waitress... Not a single smile! AVOID!!!
Edit: GREEN chicken? What genius came up with that? Marinated or not, it's vulgar. The biggest issue was the grey meat and it doesn't matter if it's hand made or not. Grey is grey. Gordon Ramsay would have a field day in your restaurant! The way you talk in your reply is as if you don't believe my review. You'd rather protect your precious ratings than actually focus on your hygiene and food preparation. It's a bit worrying when you've already closed your Google business before to make another one just so you can hide previous bad reviews. Your foods vile and made two people who ate two different things very ill. You don't even deserve 1 star. I'm entitled to leave a review about my experience regardless of speaking to managers or not. Id still leave this review even if I had spoke to your managers because reviews like this are what prevent the public from being ill. All you seem to care about is protecting your profits and reputation over the publics health! (Deniability and false reporting to Google proves this) - and that alone quite clearly backs up my review and shows how you operate as a business. It appears that your issue is that you treat the customers as if they're a one time sale since it's a holiday resort - you have no interest in returning customers as you have different faces filling your seats daily. Good luck getting my review removed again! đ€Ł Says enough about your business that you lie to Google to remove honest...
Read moreSo following recommendations my family and I went to TANDOORI HUT last night as part of my wife's 50th birthday celebrations and it was a total disaster.
Two of the dishes we ordered were chickpeas curry and a phall sauce. In the chickpeas curry (wife's choice) there was so much chilli powder in it she couldn't eat it.
The phall sauce was basically what can only be described as hot chilli powder mixed with water, there wasn't much flavour and it was like eating molten lava. And before anyone makes any clever remarks, I'm a veteran when it comes to eating curry. I live in Bolton where some of the best Indian restaurants and takeaways can be found in the UK and I've ordered phall many times and it is hot, tasty and edible.
Not one to make a fuss I just ate my chicken tikka with a little of the phall sauce and it was a very uncomfortable experience. Some of it went straight through me and had to visit the toilet before we left.
On the walk back to the hotel I took a turn for the worse and had excruciating stomach pain and had to lie down on the pavement in the recovery position to try and alleviate the pain. After about 15 minutes of rolling around in agony I vomited the entire contents of my stomach and then slowly started to recover. Eventually I was able to get to my feet and make my way back to the hotel.
The ridiculously high level of hot chilli powder had obviously burnt through the mucus lining in my stomach and was causing internal damage. If I had not of vomited I would of possibly ended up in A&E and potentially developed a stomach ulcer.
I am feeling better this morning but still a little shook up from the experience and my family will never forget the terrible event.
Visiting TANDOORI HUT Playa De Las Americas has left an indelible scar on what was my wife's 50th birthday celebrations and we have no plans to return on this or any future visit to this...
Read moreHaving seen the good reviews I decided to give this restaurant a try.
On arrival I was somewhat taken aback by the location, the owner suggested I sit outside either under a stairwell, under the walkway or on a narrow path over an underground car park entrance (see picture)!! I opted to sit inside however this wasn't much better as the room is underground so has no windows making it resemble a long dark cave, I am sure some lighter decor and the use of wall mirrors would help make the room look bigger and brighter.
At this point I was beginning to question the validity of the 5* reviews, given that the location and ambiance of a restaurant is as much of a factor as the quality of the food and at best I would give the restaurant's location a 3* rating.
Service was good and I ordered a Chicken Tikka with Cheese starter, Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi with Pilau rice and a peshwari nan. I have to say these were all excellent and definately 5* probably in my all time top 5 Indian meals, my only minor quibble would be that I prefer the chicken tikka cheese to have the tikka pieces split with a square of cheese in them rather than have the cheese sprinkled over the chicken tikka so that the cheese stays soft and runny rather than hard and crispy where it has ended up baked onto the sizzler dish.
I hear on the grapevine that a new much larger Tandoori Hut is about to be opening in a prime location somewhere in Los Cristianos, I really hope that this true as the quality of the food deserves a better home.
Hopefully this will resolve my issues with the curent location if so I am likely to become a more regular customer (if I am allowed back in đ...
