Been having breakfast there most days this week decided to change my order from the normal English breakfast to eggs Benedict when they come out I found the eggs to be nearly stone cold when I informed the waitress she took the meal away five minutes later I was approached by the original waitress telling me that the eggs were perfectly okay and they werenât cold I informed her that I found them to be cold and she persisted on to argue with me that they were not cold after herbattitude I told her not to bother and I would just pay the bill even though I wasnât having the meal not for one moment expecting that she was going to charge me I was so shocked by her attitude that I left my friends at the table and proceeded to go back to my hotel 20 minutes later my friend is phoning me saying that she wants payment for the eggs Benedict which I didnât touch he quite rightly refused to pay and phoned me which I then Went back to down to the tea rooms to pay the bill obviously I wasnât happy when I got there my Friend was just leaving saying she had deducted the price off the bill I found this to be pennypinching in the extreme and the waitress was extremely rude arguing the toss whether she consider it to be cold or not cold terrible customer service and very embarrassing if they had served it on hotplates it might of helped for the sake of six euros I have had to dedicate 10 minutes my life to write in this review but it needed...
Read moreWe ordered two main courses, Liver and bacon and a Fish pie. Both meals were awful and without a doubt the worst catering that we have experienced any where in Tenerife. The liver and bacon comprised small diced up pieces of liver and bacon all swimming in watery gravy on top of which was âdumped âa large ladle full of mashed potato. In addition a large jug full of extra gravy was positioned on the plate in the middle of it all ,heaven only knows why! The alleged fish pie comprised a small heap of shredded salmon on top of which wasâ dumpedâ,and I use the word advisedly,a large ladle full of mashed potato and that was it . It was like no other fish pie that I have ever seen. This is supposed to be an English owned Restaurant serving traditional English fare but if this is the best that they can do they need to get themselves another chef very quickly. The whole experience was unbelievably awful and to make matters worse when we complained they didnât seem to understand the problem. I would advise any prospective diners to give this place a very wide berth,it was awful and it wasnât cheap although that is not the reason for my complaint. It was a completely spoilt evening and an experience not to be repeated. It didnât even...
Read moreWhats happening Harriets English Tea Room. Every time we come to los cristianos we go to Harriets it's a bit pricey but that means you can always get a seat in or outside. We had two coffees and cake and ice cream,Very nice. We asked for our bill we look at the bill to see we had been changed for two bottles of water so I waited for the waitress to come back for money, it wasn't happening, So in the end I went to the counter I told the waitress that served us the we didn't have any water but a elderly lady said firmly yes you have, I corrected her saying we have had no water she replied well you have had one. Couldn't believe my ears. So in te end I got a new bill without the water on. But I did notice something six maybe Severn people working at Harriets only four tables occupied. Perhaps less staff lower prices. Or better Staff. Still enjoyed What we had...
