We came here for oysters really (like only 5 places seem to have it by google in Playa de Los Americas area) but some mysterious gut feeling made us go for more in the menu. We had tuna tatar, oysters, drinks and the best - seafood pasta. Everything was perfect for that relatively affordable price range (we have been to slightly better but more expensive, exclusive restaurant here) - it’s second best place here after a week of just eating around.
It actually turned out the place is an Italian restaurant with at least one, our server guy to be very nice and friendly and helpful Italian.
On top of that, interior design and the climate wasn’t a cheap touristy plastic like most of the places just by the seaside. It’s a bit on the end of promenade so is not that busy, with nice view of the sea.
And then, great margaritas we had turned out to be 5 euro only due to happy hour - add extra pepper or Tabasco to it to be even better.
Again - make sure you go for juicy, seafood rich pasta that I think was home made like bread and focaccia.
I short - Italians make one of the best cuisines in general and they made it in here, and not that expensive, and in nice atmosphere. Waiting for another day of holiday to go back...
Read moreWhilst doing the tourist thing looking for somewhere nice to enjoy a nice meal we were approached by a very nice older lady who was promoting Restaurant Rosario. She was very non-pushy and very informative, but we initially opted for somewhere else, very bad mistake on our part. We came back here the day after and wished we had started here, the food is absolutely exquisite and really sensibly priced - it far outstrips the prices and quality of a high-end place we've been to before in rural Essex!
The staff were very attentive, polite and extremely friendly - they recognises us on our second visit and made a special effort to welcome us back, all of our other visits we were treated like old friends! The bread to start is lovely, freshly made and served, we even got a nice olive oil to dip our bread in. We had several meals here and not once did we have any issues with the food, wait times or any other elements here. It gets really busy in the evenings so make...
Read moreDisappointed. Overpriced place with very average food. Weird service - we had to ask for the table lamp or candle (it was getting dark) at least three times when other tables got them without any actions. Octopus was tasty but twice more expensive as the same dish we tried a bit later in 2 other places (for the same quantity and quality). Ravioli- OK, but nothing special. Grilled vegetables - the worst I’ve tried on Tenerife - tasteless, mushy. Steak was not tasty at all, I love beef and can say when the meat is bad; plus seriously overcooked- I asked for medium rare, got medium well at best instead. Cherry on top - waitress made a mistake taking an order and we got wrong fish dish. We didn’t want to wait for the right fish and took the one we got. Restaurant made a discount because of that but general impression is...
