Fantastic location, well presented and clean. Menu was of a good size and variety (too many places have pages of choice... too much!), the food we saw coming out looked fantastic. We ordered our starters and mains, along with some drinks as we had something to celebrate. Starters came, and they were fantastic (nachos and hummus) along with a bread basket, which wasn't complimentary or requested. Obviously, we assumed it was complimentary, with us not asking for it. Our mains arrived with 3 out of 4 mains being perfect. However, the Duck? in Red Berries sauce wasn't. Upon ordering, we asked what came with the Duck, and we were told sautéed vegetables and potatoes. These never arrived. We asked where they were, and the waiter said, "Oh, of course," and off, he went. The Duck, I'm dubious as to whether it was actually duck at all. Bare in mind, duck has a very distinct flavour and texture and doesn't taste or look anything like beef, which this did! Once we had all finished our mains, the veg turned up, but we sent that back as it was no good as the meal had been finished. We passed our comments onto the waiter and manager and were told we were wrong. Considering we were "wrong," we were offered a Tiarmisu, which we didn't want and then shots. We also noticed that after finishing the bottle of Cava, we ordered that it was, in fact, out of date by 2 months.
Clearly, this restaurant has potential but is still in new phases, and other than the issue with the Duck main, it would have been perfect,...
Read moreWow!! What a place. I cannot praise this establishment enough. We accidentally stumbled upon what would be our perfect day.
We hadn't booked (but would recommend you do so) in advance and just walked up. The waitress said it was fine. We decided to purchase the club's sunbed deal (I'm sorry, I'm not doing it justice by calling it that!) for €100.00 which gave us a king-size, padded sunbed with 2 comfy pillows, overlooking the beach and ocean from 12pm to 8pm. But the best bit was €80.00 was for food and drinks while you were there! So €20.00 for 8 hours on the bed. The staff were absolutely brilliant. Big smiles, friendly and helpful. Everything brought to your bed which had a table on it. We had some chips for a snack and then steak with salad and a pizza. Steak was lovely as was the gigantic pizza.
If you are planning a day at the beach, it's a no brainer to spend it there. The Roca Blanca Beach Club has everything and more. The VIP beds as mentioned but also smaller beds at reduced prices and the terrace which is free to sit at. There's 2 pools with fountains, a swing for kids (or those Instagram photo's 😉) light's when it goes dark and music playing until 4pm when the resident DJ comes on. Brilliant day out at the beach and fantastic staff. An absolute must if you are in the area!
Edit: I didn't give everything 5 stars. I've done that now. In reply to whoever wrote the reply. We will see you next year,...
