Restaurante El Cedro — Restaurant in Arona

the food was absolutely beautiful, however, boy do i have some stories to tell you about el cedro. First of all let’s set the scene, i came with my mam and dad the fourth night of my holiday. we are english speakers and that’s our first language, they decided to give us the most spanish server there. they didn’t go through and repeat the order back to us: so my dad didn’t get his starter or main. We were utterly disappointed. the food on the other hand was brilliant, but the service was diabolical. the next table from us had a cockroach on it, i asked him to politely remove it and he hit it off the table onto my feet. we got offered free drinks to make up for it but my dad didn’t have two courses. on the last night of our seven day holiday we decided to come back to el cedro, it was near and the food was overall nice. we asked them to repeat the order and everything sounded perfect, everyone got there starters and it was overall a nice time. until my dad dug into his chicken kiev, it was a cordon bleu, did we ask for that, no, when we confronted the waiter about this mishap, they said a kiev was meant to have cheese and ham in… clearly it doesn’t. we changed it and my dads main didn’t not come yet again, this place is atrocious!!!!!!! never coming back!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT STEP...

Well after giving this place the benefit of the doubt we gave it a second chance just because of its location and the fact my wife's meal lemon soul was good mine a tasteless steak and Peper sauce . We went back this time I had the soul with chips and my wife garlic prawns . Don't know how they can screw 2 meals up when we were the only customers in there. This time the soul was dry and vile and came with potatoes that should have been chips and my wife's garlic prawns were plane prawns. After telling them we just wanted the bill the manager insisted we stayed and he would put things right. I told him I didn't want the same food. Well after 5 mins they had bought meals back out (the same meals) mine even more dry and decrepit and my wife's had had her prawns shelled and pieces of garlic tossed around . Really not good and will not return. Lots of better...

Absolute gem of a place. Nothing was too much. Got seated outside as a family of 6 but felt like we was abit cramped as we felt the table was more suited to a family of 4 so we asked if we could move inside which we did and they obliged very politely. Husband and my mum both asked for steak well done which they decided it wasn’t well done enough so sent them back husbands came back as he hadn’t put sauce on it which was fine he was happy with this and my mum had already poured her peppercorn sauce on so she got a fresh new steak back and a new pot of sauce. Very generous measures for drinks. And spot on service very good with kids (lollies for after) Amazing food...
