Restaurante Pailebot — Restaurant in Arona

We had a terrible experience, even if it started ok. We ordered 2 soups, duck and paella, and we were told that Paella will take probably 25 mins, and we said that is ok and we would like all of them brought together. After 30 mins, we got the soups, and after more than 1 hour and probably 15 mins we received the other 2, exactly when we needed to go to the airport. Regarding the food itself, paella was ok (probably lacked a bit of salt), the duck was indeed very good, the creamy soup was also good, but the other soup felt like an instant soup mix, the noddles were exactly like the ones from the instant soup.

Would've given it a 4*, if not for the longer waiting time. We were told it was chef's first day, but unfortunately that is not my problem. And I suspect it was the waiters faults, because they were 3, but we had one which took our order, another one serving the soups, and other one...

This restaurant would have been a five star if the atmosphere was a little more positive. We had a lovely older waiter, the most lovely man you will ever meet. There was also two other waiters who were younger and was constantly laughing at him and seemed to be making fun of him, as the older man seemed uncomfortable many times by these younger waiters. Usually I would never leave a review like this but the two younger waiters honestly ruined our experience here. The older man seemed to be doing a lot of the work whilst the Other two younger ones stood there and laughed at him. We left feeling extremely uncomfortable which is unfortunate as the food and service (by the older man) was brilliant and if it was him alone I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Worst meal we had and made us pay for dishes we refused. The fish is full of bones . The paella was full salt and oil and bones in that too. When u complain the older man was very rude n refused telling us no and didnt wana hear any of it we actually refused a meal n didnt touch the fish and still made us pay. Would highly avoid we left nearly all and i felt sick. Also fish n chip came with about 7 chips the one nice waiter got us few extra which all my daughter ate as she could eat fish as nearly chocked on mouth full bones in first bite . Paella same and swimming grease and salt i left and canerian potatoes was undercooked and hard .
