My mom and I came here during a trip to Arrecife while on holiday. We were seated and got drinks quickly. However, it took nearly 20 minutes for us to order food. After a while of trying to catch someone’s attention, we eventually told a waitress we were ready to order. We ordered a panini and a sandwich, but I could see she did not write it down. There was no sign of the food for nearly half an hour. People who arrived after us were served before us and some had even finished their meals. Waiters and waitresses rushed past us to serve and take orders for other groups. We decided if it didn’t come soon we were going to pay for the drinks and leave, as we were quite hungry after walking around the city all day. My mom then caught the attention of a waiter and told him we were waiting for a long time, as we only ordered sandwiches. My mom said that the lady beside us arrived 20 minutes after us and had her food before us, to which he said “no only five minutes”. He told her that it was coming soon and her sandwich was like pizza bread and needed to be cooked a certain way. It was then that another waitress arrived with the food and asked if we wanted another glass of wine. We declined as we had spent nearly an hour there at this stage and wanted to eat quickly and leave. We then realized that I was given a ham and cheese pizza instead of panini, but I ate it anyway to avoid waiting any longer. The food itself was lovely, but the staff seemed to prioritize serving Spanish locals, as there was a whole new group of people in the restaurant by the time we ate our food. Perhaps the order was forgotten about as it wasn’t written. Lovely food but when you are hungry you want...
Read moreI had dinner here as part of my hotel stay, as the hotel provides a voucher for this restaurant. The restaurant is kept relatively simple and the music is present. Unfortunately, the cellar was a little unfriendly and the service was quite rushed. We still need to practise being friendly and courteous here. Hotel guests have a relatively small selection from the menu, which is very unusual. The pizza bread, which was served as a starter, was almost perfect in terms of the base, but unfortunately that was it. The tomato sauce was tasteless and covered with soap-like tasting dried herbs. Far too much of this dried herb was used. For the main course I chose the roast chicken with salad. Well, the chicken must have seen an oven in its creation, it was certainly reheated in the microwave... it would be tough and tasteless, the skin not crispy and prepared with a lot of oil. The salad was more of a second choice and had already seen its best days. No dressing, nothing on the salad was marinated. Salt/pepper, vinegar and oil were served at the table in outdated individual containers. For dessert we had cheesecake, which was fine. The cream served with it was from a can, tasteless and with a bitter sweet aftertaste. The whole thing was disfigured with a kind of honey sauce from the supermarket. What a shame. The crowning glory was the cockroach that ran across the table during the meal...
They could achieve here if they wanted to... the staff would have to be well trained, like the kitchen and...
Read moreThis is a message to the owner. You have replied to an earlier review saying that all nationalities are served and treated the same in your restaurant. If you think this you are mistaken and not in control. I am English. I have had some good food in your restaurant, I have had a little good service and I have had lots of bad service. I have sat down at a table waiting for a menu, that is not offered, Spanish people arrive and sit down and are given a menu immediately. On one occasion I asked for my bill to three different waiters before it arrived. The last time I visited the restaurant was quiet. I sat down at a table. Waiters walk past, do not give eye contact, they stare into the distance. The table next to me were english, I could see them with their purse in their hands trying to beckon a waiter, but no one was noticing them. I have seen this before.Their is one waiter with short dark hair, a little older than the younger ones, maybe he is senior, he walked past them looking into the distance, through the window. He turned round and walked past them again, looking straight ahead not seeing them. Maybe he is tired. But then a Spanish couple walk in, he sees them and offers them a table and gives them menus immediately. The English lady still sits and waits to pay, No one sees her. No one brings me a menu. I must be invisible. I walk out to take my money elsewhere. Today I have had...
