Disappointing dinner experience despite a beautiful setting.
I was really looking forward to the evening, but overall, it fell short of what I would expect from a hotel and restaurant of this standard.
Service during dinner was surprisingly inattentive: my glass of wine for the main course was forgotten (despite only three occupied tables and six guests in total and the waiter actually selling it to me - I first wasn’t planning to have wine), and I had to pour my own water. Other tables received olive oil — I did not. The waiter came across as distant and somewhat abrupt — not in appearance, but in manner.
The food was a mixed experience. The langoustine carpaccio was quite good, though a bit too salty. The miso monkfish was honestly just okay — it reminded me of a good airplane meal (was not what I was going for), which may sound harsh, but that was my genuine first thought.
To be fair, the rooms looked beautiful, and the evening atmosphere and location are absolutely stunning. But unfortunately, I left really disappointed.
I’ll definitely return to Artà, but I won’t be recommending this hotel...
Read moreWe stayed in Juz de Yartan for 2 nights and dined in the restaurant on the second evening. René is very passionate about the hotel and told us the history of the property, which was very interesting. We dined in the garden which was a very tranquil and romantic setting, full of origin architecture , water feature and plants. Carlos recommended some very tasty dishes - we had the octopus and goats cheese starter which were presented very well. We ate turbot and Mallorcan chicken for main, both full of flavour and very tasty. Overall, we really enjoyed this restaurant. It would be lovely to see the chef develop a small tasting menu and wine pairing in future so you could try a bit of everything. Will definitely return next year to stay...
