La Donzella de la Costa — Restaurant in Badalona

Perhaps I had too much expectations about the place, but I did not left it superexited. No doubt that the location is amazing, it is right on the beach (they have actuall a private beach!), so if you get a good table you get amazing views. They have 3 different spaces: (1) right on the beach ina pure chiringuito style with your feet in the sand, (2) the first fllor with a nice and modern mediterranean style with stonishing views and few round and big tables (I love them!) and (3) the ground floor, with a bit too basic deco that makes it feel more a garage rather than a restaurant -it has also views over the sea, bit it is not as cool as the floor above-. I was in the groundfloor and I admit it is one of the reasons for the lower score, but not only. Food was also dissapointing: first frustrarion was that they only had half the dishes in the menu -at least none of the ones we were willing to taste-, so our choices were limited. We managed to order though. Tapas were ok, yet too much difference between the good ones (fried calamari) or the not-that-good (chicken croequettes). Main course -parlla la Donzell- was also average: good enough but nothing to highlight. Price was on the medium-high end.

The food is truly exceptional—the best I’ve tasted in a long time. We enjoyed a delicious tuna tataki paired perfectly with a creamy wasabi mayonnaise, followed by steamed mussels infused with a delightful rosemary aroma. The highlight was the Fideuà with octopus, an unforgettable dish.

GOOGLE ME LA HA RETIRADO POR QUE EL ANUNCIANTE LA HA DENUNCIADO, esto lo que pasó, absolutamente todo verdad. Así que venga denunciar otra vez la reseña que la volveré a colgar cuantas veces me la denunciéis. ASÍ NORMAL QUE TENGÁIS 4 ESTRELLAS SI ELIMINÁIS Y DENUNCIÁIS TODAS LAS RESEÑAS MALAS. 👏🏻👏🏻

En mi reseña no pone nada malo, simplemente fui crítico en un par de aspectos para que lo mejorárais, nada más. De haberos puesto 2 estrellas os la bajo a 1 estrella por esto último sucedido.

Hemos ido hoy a comer dos comensales, con reserva. El sitio es único y muy bonito, hemos comido en el chiringuito a pie de playa, bien decorado y muy acogedor. La variedad de platos no está mal al igual que la carta de vinos y cavas. Los precios algo caros aun que ya se sabe que pagas por estar a pie de playa y por el lugar, tiene ese plus. De entrante íbamos con la idea de pedir unos mejillones y cuando los estamos pidiendo, además de estar en la carta, de sorpresa nos dice la camarera muy amablemente que no hay que se han agotado (bueno, nos quedamos con las ganas de unos mejillones al vapor o a la marinera como es de tradición, típicos de pedir y tomar en un restaurante de costa, marisquería o de arroces). Acabamos pidiendo una ración de pan de cristal con tomate y aceite de oliva virgen extra y para acompañar unos chipirones con alioli negro, muy buenos pero algo caros (18€ un plato rectangular y estrecho de chipirones en forma de una tapa). El vino rosado Juvé & Camps exquisito y bien servido. Precio acorde. De comer pedimos un arroz “La Donzella” con gambas, cigalas y calamarcitos para dos personas y para sorpresa, al probarla, estaba fría, nos quedamos petrificados! Es decir la paella fría por muy buena que esté, no se disfruta…arroz, cigalas y gambas, todo frío. Bueno se lo comentamos al camarero nada más la probamos y se queda sin saber qué hacer ni decir, únicamente se disculpa y se va. (21€ cada plato de paella, total 42€ la paella fría). De postre nos pedimos una tarta de queso para compartir muy buena y un café. Pedimos la cuenta, la traen y nos ofrecen un chupito de wisky o de limoncello (como si de alguna manera quisieran disculparse por la paella fría), cosa que agradecimos y aceptamos. El chupito era de J&B barato y el limoncello ni lo probamos, dejamos la cuenta pagada (unos 50€ por persona) y nos fuimos. La segunda estrella que pongo es por el lugar, su decoración, agradable, ambiente marítimo y de costa, si no doy más estrellas es porque por lo que uno va y nosotros fuimos a comer aquí es realmente para disfrutar de un buen arroz,...
