Otitanuz Beach — Restaurant in Badalona

We didn’t have a good experience here. The place is simple without any charm, the food is overpriced for what it is. The waiters seemed very stressed and lost, the service was very unorganized. We got seated by waiter1, then waiter2 prepared our table and promised to bring us the menu (which we had to ask for again as it didn’t arrive), waiter 3-4 brought us our drinks (we were only 2 at the table but got our drinks with 10min difference), waiter 5 took our food order, we ordered 4 tapas, waiter 6-7-8 brought us the food, they only served 3 of them, which we didn’t mind seeing the quality so didn’t reclaim it, however all the 4 tapas appeared on the bill. After telling them that they actually never brought the 4th one to us they removed it from the bill. The last thing was that they didn’t apply the 30% discount (a la carte) as per our booking via The Fork and when I claimed it they told me the offer is not valid for drinks and tapas, only for meat/fish/rice plates. Necessita millorar... I molt. Vam anar-hi per la tarda entre setmana. Vam demanar uns camemberts arrebossats i dues hamburgueses, una de vedella i una de pollastre. La beguda ens la van posar a l'instant. Els cambrers molt amables (i per això les dues estrelles). Vam esperar una bona estona. Mentre esperàvem, sentíem com s'anaven equivocant de plats i taules, hi havia una descoordinació total. Al cap d'una bona estona ( 15 minuts aprox.) el cambrer ens va venir a comunicar que no tenien els camemberts (cosa perfectament assumible, tot i que podia haver vingut abans). Al cap d'uns deu/quinze minuts aproximadament van venir les croquetes (recordem que ja feia 25 que havíem demanat les hamburgueses), així que als 10 minuts, van portar la de vedella (és a dir 35 minuts d'espera). El pa tenia aquella cruixentor d'haver estat al congelador i haver estat escalfat, però es podia menjar perfectament. L'hamburguesa era bona així que els dos comensals, ens la vam partir, mitja cadascú. I menys mal que ho vam fer així, perquè al cap de 25 minuts, encara no en sabíem res de la segona, de la de pollastre. Si bé es cert que amb un to un pèl irònic, li vam preguntar al cambrer si havíem d'entrar nosaltres a matar el pollastre, ja que passava l'hora. Ens va respondre que tenia un problema a la cuina i que l'estava resolent que ara ens la feien. Feien? si fa molt minuts que hauria d'estar feta! Finalment al cap d'un quart d'hora ens la van portar. Les hamburgueses venien amb patates, ens van portar un pot de ketchup i un de maionesa, què ens van demanar al cap d'una estona per servir a una altra taula (tot i que teníem les patates sobre el plat/pissarra encara) Ja vam anar directament al tallat perquè vam pensar que les postres, potser ens les portarien per esmorzar.

Descoordinació entre cambrers, cuina i ordre.

Probablement hi tornem, esperem que hagin millorat i podem canviar aquesta ressenya a millor. Serà fàcil perquè pitjor és difícil d'aconseguir-ho.

El preu? 55€, que pel servei i espera és al nostre entendre, molt car. A més ens han cobrat uns chocos que no ens van servir. Una mostra més del descontrol...

Better go somewhere else. The burgers overcooked, old bread and not much flavour. We had 30% discount with the fork, they calculated less than 16. Waiting a long time for food. Also, after waiting for almost an hour and the 2 burgers almost finished eating, the waiter comes to explain that ribs were actually not available and one of us had to choose something else. They weren't really unfriendly but just messy. Later his colleague saying it was not true and later the ribs came. Quality of ribs and paella not bad but altogether quite messy and definitely not repeatable. Also without discount it's quite overpriced especially. A sunny terrace...
