ÖSS Kaffe Barcelona — Restaurant in Barcelona

I want to start this review by saying this has nothing to do with the product or the service, which have never been anything but lovely. The coffee is very well made, good quality, and the staff are friendly and diligent.

My only gripe with my experience today is that a book titled Roman Polanski: A Retrospective was displayed proudly front and centre within the establishment. Now, it's none of my business if the owner wishes to display this work privately in their own home. However, this is a public space which should endeavour to foster comfort and well-being for its users, and given the very serious nature and public knowledge of the allegations against Polanski, this does the exact opposite. I left feeling extremely uncomfortable and it impacted my experience very negatively. I am definitely considering never returning.

I strongly urge you to remove this book. If ÖSS wishes to be an establishment in which people of all genders and backgrounds feel safe, I find it unacceptable to proudly display a work which extols the achievements of a man like Polanski. Part of the experience of any coffee shop or venue is the environment which it fosters, going beyond the product or service. Again, everyone is entitled to their own political opinions in private, but the comfort and dignity of your customers is something that ought to...

Update: hello, i realised my review came off more harsh than intended to, so just to clarify i didn't like my special coffee drink purely based on my personal preference, there was nothing wrong with it, i just didn't like the taste and that is my problem. It wouldn't stop me from coming back. And i just stated that the flatwhite was too milky according to the normal specialty coffee standart. Otherwise a very nice place hence the 4 stars

Very nice barista, i had some special coffee and didn't really like it that much and my friend got a flatwhite which was way more milky than its supposed to be. Other than that it was a nice experience but if you are searching for specialty coffee maybe don't expect too much...

The worst cappuccino ever from a speciality coffee shop. When I arrived home I walked past the shop. I ordered a cappuccino and I got a kind of milk with no coffee taste at all. I walked away and tasted it and brought it back immediately. The barista said it was exactly as it should be.
