Teatre Poliorama — Attraction in Barcelona

We went to a flamenco performance. The concert hall was only 1/4 full because of the expensive tickets (all the last row was sold out though). It was felt like we were overcharged. We bough the cheapest tickets, 54 euros per two people. The plan of the hall did not match the real hall layout (we had been warned though but isn't the price enough to sort it out?). They could have danced better for this money. There was no passion at the beginning (is not flamenco about that?) and the dancers were kind of too relaxed. During all the performance their movements were not synchronised. One piece was a bit tensed for the girls (they were too occupied looking after the long tails of their special dresses). The hands of the dancers were too soft and not expressive even when they started to get into the performance. The musicians...

Today I had to visit the performance "Woman" - it was a complete disappointment... Cheap and talentless direction, primitive choreography, absolutely not a modern vision of the topic of the relationship between a man and a woman. Too bright light, which simply blinded the eyes at the end of many scenes, was very annoying. The only thing you could stop your attention on is the performer of the male role! His skill in performing flamenco elements could not be spoiled even by terrible music, which absolutely did not fit this pop act! I recommend not to waste your time and money if you like flamenco, real theater and beautiful music at...

I can not describe how beautiful was today's Flamenco Show. Our hotel recommended Teatre Poliorama as they would accept my three and half year old girl to join us. So that's a first thank you to Teatre Poliorama. And a big thank you for the amazing show. The performers moved our emotions. The music the singer, the dancers, their facial expressions. Wow!

I dragged my husband to the show. He wasn't sure what to expect. His exact words after the show " this was the best experience in this trip"😀
