David the waiter ruined our experience at Kinos. He started talking to us in spanish, picking up our drinks and moving them on to another table, we explained we had no idea what he was doing. We then realised he was trying to move our group of 4 onto a table with 2 seats so he could fit more customers with complete disregard to the fact it would mean 2 of our group would be standing even though we had already bought a drink and was currently in the middle of drinking it. I then said 'No lo se, perdona' (meaning I dont know, sorry). To this he knelt down, put his head really close into our group and said.. "this is spain? si? we speak spanish, not english' slowly in a way an adult talks to a toddler. Obviously we told him that was an extremely rude comment to make, we have been trying to learn spanish for the last 6 months however you can't learn a language over night. It made me feel he was targeting us and being borderline racist to the fact we were english. Turns out no one even needed the seats he was so desperate to free up so not sure what he was doing in the first place.
Its a shame as every other visit to Kino's i've made while living in Barcelona I have received satisfactory service. However, the service today was the worst I have...
Read moreWe passed by maybe three times and terrace was always full. Inside of the bar is really big, so check it before you try another place. We were not exactly that hungry so the order was not full of food. Croquette is must try if you are on Barcelona - ham and cheese was our option and it was delicious! Continuing with baked nachos - comes in medium sized cooking basket baked with cheese, beans and jalapeno, topped with guacamole.. again, another must try if you visit this bar. We tried a lot of this stuff on our visit in Barcelona and this one was on the top - not too many taste combinations, just exactly what you need and expect from this dish. For something “more like a food” we had a one smoked salmon wrap. Comes with homemade french fries and there is simply nothing to complain about, its just exactly what you expect from it with double the taste. To mentioned the stuff, we got some trouble eating the nachos from the basket. Just like that, with no task, waitress brought as another plate - and that was during her dinner break time. P.S. design and the feeling of the toilets is the real stuff! Yeah, even such a thing like a toilets can...
Read moreSo good we went back again! A modern take on traditional Spanish Tapas. Great cocktails and all the food was delicious. The Patatas Bravas were thin, crispy. piled high and surrounded by three kinds of sauce. The croquetas were crunchy on the outside and soft and full of flavour on the inside. The tortilla was, light, fluffy and sprinkled with paprika. The second time I took the fried chicken burger which was perfectly cooked and drizzled with a delightful Aioli. Service was great and the view of people skating around the Museum for Contemporary Art gives you an...
