We were so pleased with our experience with Casa Camper Barcelona. It definitely is a hidden gem within Las Ramblas area. The area is not as crazy crowded as the Plaza Catalunya or Gothic Quarter area and its less 5 minutes walk to La Rambla. Here are some of the notable points from our stay in August.
The front desk team is very attentive. One of the staff gave us a tour of the first floor, the terrace as well as our room. They are knowledgeable of the area from recommendations to directions. The Tentempié dining facility is a great concept: a 24 hour dining area that is complimentary. Full breakfast buffet, made to order. The rest of the day is a nice pantry style with cold drinks and pre made snacks/salads. Plenty of options. There is a lot of space to sit and eat/lounge. The terrace has a great view of the city with plenty of seating available. A few loungers with a garden shower and towels are available for sunbathers. There is also a self pour bar, Honesty Bar that one can make cocktails that is charged to your room. Gym nice and quiet. Treadmill and bike machine connects to social media. There is a fancy resistance machine that is a full body workout as well. Yoga mats, balls are available as well. We didn’t have a chance to enjoy the Dos Billares bar, as they’re only open from Tues to Sat. Since one of our phones was having trouble connected to the European cellular network, we were offered a mobile hotspot, which was fantastic! Our king room was so hip! Loved the cool bathroom concept with full window while maintaining full privacy. The en suite across the hall was a cute space to chill/entertain as well as nap during siesta. We had a fairly early flight so the front desk offered wake-up service, taxi service as well as a to-go breakfast for us.
We fully enjoyed our stay and were glad were able to be spoiled with such amenities! We can’t wait to come back and will check the Casa...
Read moreI agree with the reviewer who said a 6-star rating is needed . . . I would even go so far as to say a 10 star!
One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. First the room. Such a cool room with the vertical garden, and the mini lounge with hammock across the hall! The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the room very, very quiet. The bathroom area is very spacious and spa-like . . . thoroughly enjoyed the various shower options, but in particular the rain head shower.
Oh, and that terrace. What a beautiful spot to kick back, review the wonderful day you had with a glass of cava (or beer or wine!), and look down on Barcelona before you headed out for dinner. There were also nibbles like nuts and chips to have with your drink. And so easy. On the honour system, you simply indicated what you had to drink and it was easily added to your room. Loved the terrace.
The food onsite is amazing. Breakfast was very ample with a lot of selection, including the option of having personalized omelettes, eggs, bacon and pancakes cooked to order. The snacks 24/7 are also appreciated as someday you want a small nibble before you go out for dinner. Loved that there were salads and sandwiches also available for lunch.
We loved the location in El Raval. Being within walking distance of Las Ramblas, La Boqueria Market, the old Gothic town, Barcelonetta, etc. etc. If you enjoy walking, you can pretty much walk almost anywhere.
And I saved the best for last. The staff. The most charming, professional, helpful staff. Everyone from the front desk, to the breakfast servers were amazingly helpful and friendly. We had to leave early for a morning flight and they kindly sent us on our way with a bag filled with a muffin, sandwich, yogurt and water. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. Highly recommend staying here if you are planning a visit...
Read moreWe had two Camper City King rooms, for 4 nights, late in June. Room was nice & big - bed very comfortable. Very happy with the spaciousness. During the day, open the blinds for daylight light, otherwise the room is somewhat dark. Bathroom has bright light. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The location is great - about a 2 blocks walk to La Rambla - which was bustling with so many people. Loved coming in from a day of sightseeing and heading into the snack area for a soft drink or snack of chocolate, fruit, sandwich, small salad or pastry maybe. Three of our four nights we headed up to the rooftop area. Our second night from the rooftop space we watched fireworks for 3 1/2 hours in celebration of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist. The fireworks literally went on all night. We played cards & took our own bottle of wine. The honestly bar at the rooftop is very convenient with reasonable prices. We had beer and wine after we finished our own bottle. If I remember correctly wine was 6e and beer maybe 5e. LOVED that outdoor space. Breakfast - order from a menu and it is cooked to order. We enjoyed the breakfast every day. We would stay at Casa Camper again, no hesitation. We loved it. Leave room in your luggage to purchase a Casa Camper Barcelona beach towel -...
