truly disappointing and homophobic experience
On the night of Saturday, 05/10/2025, we went to La Paloma around 00:30. Upon arrival, we witnessed the guys at the door being ironic and disrespectful to a girl waiting outside — which already felt uncomfortable and unprofessional.
Once inside, the atmosphere was tense. The security staff were arguing among themselves, which we immediately noticed and commented that the whole energy of the place felt strange and unwelcoming.
The worst part happened when my friend was waiting in line for the bathroom, and I was standing by the stairs. Three security guards suddenly entered the bathroom area and started aggressively kicking people out. I saw everything. When I calmly approached to explain that my friend was not part of any group causing trouble, one of the guards made openly homophobic comments, accusing everyone waiting in line of wanting to enter the same bathroom.
Despite my calm explanation, the situation escalated. They forced us to open our bags — which we did willingly — and accused us of trying to take drugs, even though we had absolutely nothing on us. When they realised they were wrong, instead of apologising, they shouted, humiliated us in front of everyone, and kicked us out.
We tried to clarify the situation with the door staff, thinking it was a misunderstanding, but everyone there was rude, sarcastic, and dismissive. When we asked to file an official complaint, they mocked us and took ages to provide the form.
To make things even more disturbing, as we were leaving, another security guard took a photo of us without any explanation. When I asked why, he simply ignored me.
What a disgraceful experience — La Paloma turned out to be a homophobic place with extremely rude and aggressive staff. If you’re part of the LGBTQ+ community or simply looking for a venue that treats its guests with basic respect, avoid this place. You...

I don't know the prices, but it seems like the pack might include some security (at least I've always seen the same people at the entrance).
The room has a main floor, and a watching area above, with fences and cushions ala old fashioned aristocracy (but the seatings and hallways when you go up are pretty narrow, if you are super fit you may struggle).
Fairly dark place, although it has some spectacle colour lights and a disco ball. The room is decorated with baroque-like paintings and a chandelier sits at the middle of it.
Cozy, decently fresh, but can get overcrowded easily, and the stairs are tiny so you may be uncomfortable stepping on them. It has bathrooms, with 5 toilets as far as I could tell. One entrance, no safety exits that I can recall.
That's it. There's...
Read moreNo electricity, woken up to be kicked out after day after check in. Juan Pablo in the reception apparently did not extend my stay by the one day he said he could and had me believed everything was paid and taken care off. Staff the day after would nót believe when i told them their colleague might have made a mistake I was met with an attitude. Wasn’t until I said fine I’ll check out then.. He offered my extend my stay something I believed was taken care of when I checked in. I’m extremely unhappy to be woken up li me this and they take the electricity of the room and deactivate the key and don’t communicate with maids who just seem to enter hotel rooms while the guest is in there. I told specially to them I did not need cleaning on this day but still I got a second wake up first from reception then soon after maid coa bursting in when I’m getting...
