Antico cafe — Restaurant in Barcelona

I avoid putting negative comments on any place. But, unfortunately, sometimes they are inevitable. I've been twice at this cafe-bar. And both times they were grossly rude. Waits ironic, ill-mannered, not at all friendly. Horrible feeling of "not welcome". What would a quiet breakfast turned into just an espresso. Luckily there are other places in the area with great service, with people willing to serve with good humor, friendliness, no arrogance or irony. Definitely this place is not...

This place is a very dangerous place specially for tourist. The staff at this restaurant inform us that pickpockets operate inside this restaurant in a daily basis. I personally experienced how skilled these thieves are. We were warned about the pickpockets and secured our bags and even with that they managed to stole one of our bags with passports,visa, money and it really caused a bad situation. We lost a whole day at the police station and making phone calls to all credit...

We went to Barcelona for a family holiday. This cafe, not far away from the Fontana metro station, was the only cafe that I went back again and again. The prices were affordable and I can see the reason many locals patronising this outlet. The only disadvantage was the language barrier. Menu were all in Spanish and the staffs hardly spoke English, despite they were polite and courteous towards us. Coffee was nice. I saw many local old folks ordered their coffees with liquor...
