Went here yesterday for lunch with some new friends who enjoy a good Indian/Pakistani meal. This restaurant rocks! We started with the pakoras and little sausage rolls called Seekh Kebabs. Well the pakoras were delicately fried with not a trace of oil and a lovely minty sauce and the Seekh Kebabs were rolls of delicious tandoor meat. Then we shared three dishes - the butter chicken (heavenly), the chicken tikka tandoori massala (best we've had in Barcelona) and the lamb madrasi - tender chucks of lamb that melted in the mouth in a scrumptious sauce. We ordered basmati rice and two kinds of naan (garlic & plain) both of which were light, tasty and wonderful to soak up the wonderful sauce. We ordered 2 dishes "medium" and they were just the right amount of heat. We completed our meal with gulab jamun. Well I haven't had such authentic gulab jamun since I ate at the Banana Leaf Apollo in Singapore -- sheer heaven. Great list of beers, limonada that is not too sweet, and best of all, great conversation in a bright, cheerfully decorate space in Gracía. Did I mention the outstanding service-- everyone was friendly, helpful and delightful. They do great takeaway I've heard but it's so close to our place - we'll...

Wanted to have the Gol Gappa (puri in India) but they said they had ran out… I could see hundreds of the shells behind the counter so maybe it was just the filling that they ran out of but I was there just as it opened & it was really busy with take away orders, these are fiddly to make up so it felt like they couldn’t be bothered because they were too busy. The price of most things were fine but €3.5 for a small boiled rice is ridiculous. Decided to go with the vegi biryani instead… virtually no veg in it & normally in Uk comes with a side of veg curry, this did not. It was tasty but basically felt like fried rice not biryani. The paneer tikka masala was nice. Nan bread isn’t a nan it’s more like a chapati. So all in all tasted fine, would probably order it take away and make my own rice...
Read moreI came with my father, both Pakistani and craving homely food, and had an amazing experience, served by a very kind waiter called Hridoy. He ensured that my father was well looked after and served us with an incredible attitude and a high level of patience. We then returned twice during our holiday with our entire family, and were impressed with the quality of food, the kind service, and particularly the personable treatment received by Hridoy, who remembered us on both occasions and strived to ensure our needs were met. Upon leaving on both occasions, we noticed that he was putting in an amazing amount of effort in serving the other customers and cleaning the tables. We unanimously agree that he deserves a raise/promotion!
We pray that there is constant barakah in your business, and that it remains...
