Blavis — Restaurant in Barcelona

I wish I could give 10 stars! 1st as suggested definitely make reservations well in advance. The restaurant is small but, very intimate.

I found out about Blavis once I arrived in Barcelona in early October and I sent a message to them on WhatsApp and Paco responded. They didn’t have availability at the time but, he told me he would let me know if someone canceled. Y’all he didn’t forget me!!! He messaged me later in the day and asked if I could make the 2nd seating and I wanted to respond back and say “You dam right I can” LOL.

Being a solo travel can be difficult for various reasons and I’ve found that many restaurants around the world prefer parties of 2 or more but, I was welcomed with open arms. I’m also African American if that helps my other travelers.

Now let’s get on to the service and food! The service was amazing and I felt so special. Paco and Marc really took care of me and I didn’t feel awkward especially with the place being filled with couples. I watched Marc a lot and when I tell you he is very detailed and clean I mean it! The amount of times he washed his hands while preparing various dishes was glorious to my OCD LOL. Paco constantly made sure I was okay and answered all my questions too.

Since I was solo I was served half portions. Y’all listen I ate my way through there and had no shame! The food was out of this world delicious and the dessert topped it off. I don’t even know how I managed to eat dessert but, I did and left not one crumb. If you’ve ever watch Charlotte’s Web I was Templeton!

Don’t miss this experience and I look forward to going again next year when I return.

This is the best restaurant experience I have ever had. I travelled to Barcelona from Australia with my husband and sister. Our friends from Australia that had been here previously recommended Blavis to us, so we booked a table online about 3 weeks in advance. The service from the moment we entered was wonderful. The atmosphere was intimate, relaxed and welcoming. We asked for recommendations and a description of the tapas on the menu, and the server was very patient and explained everything in perfect English to us. We ordered everything he recommended, and every dish was amazing. We were advised that for a party of 3, 5-7 dishes would be ideal. We ordered 7 dishes plus dessert. The eggplant dish was the biggest surprise - none of us expected it to taste to good, it was very rich and full of flavour. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of food, even the tomato bread was fantastic. The wine was great. We were given a thorough description of the wine list, and ended up choosing two bottles of local wine which went very well with the food. I don't mind paying for quality and a good experience, and I have paid much more for much less. We had a 2 bottles of wine, 7 tapas including tomato bread, and 1 dessert each for 3 people. The service was top quality and I feel overall the value for money was great. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you are travelling from overseas and want to experience different types of tapas aside from the usual croquettes...

Hidden Gem in Barcelona

Blavis is truly a one-of-a-kind restaurant! With only four tables, it offers an intimate and personal dining experience unlike anywhere else. The two chefs not only prepare the food but also serve it with passion, explaining every dish in detail. Their warmth and enthusiasm made our visit extra special.

The carpaccio de berenjena was so delicious that we ordered it twice—it was packed with flavor and perfectly executed. The ceviche de langostino was incredibly fresh and citrusy, an absolute standout. The artichokes were also fantastic. The only dish we wouldn’t reorder was the Kimchi wings, but everything else more than made up for it.

And then there was dessert—the cheesecake was hands down the best I’ve ever had! Creamy, rich, and absolutely perfect.

If you’re in Barcelona, book well in advance because this place is small and fills up quickly. It’s worth the wait for an unforgettable...
