I went to Otto zutz with a group of 5 to celebrate my birthday, and we had gottenfree quest list tickets with free entry until 1:00AM. We got inside the actual club at about 1:03 after being stopped by 2 of the bouncers and having our ID’s checked. While we were waiting on line, a club worker came up to everyone on the line asking if we wanted a free “chupito” (shot), saying that we would get that once we filled out a survey voting for this club as the best club in Barcelona. We should have gotten the free shot when we showed the bartender inside the completion page, right ?
No. First of all, once we actually made it in and showed the guest list tickets to the girl at the counter, she told us we had to pay because it was past 1AM. While we were contemplating going inside, she rudely told us to get out and a bouncer came to move us to the side. We decided to just pay the 15€ to get in since we had already made it to the venue. Worst mistake of my life.
The venue itself was TINY, with a tiny dance floor. It was very hot inside with little ventilation and we were getting shoved around by all the people going from the main room to the upstairs bathrooms. Once we showed the bartender the survey completion one, she also denied us the free chupitos because it was past 1AM, so we basically got scammed by the club employees into voting Otto Zutz as the ”b*st” club in Barcelona.
I have gone to some questionable clubs, but this has had to be the worst. The DJs were atrocious, badly transitioning from Justin Biebier to regatón to pop smoke. We ended up leaving about an hour after we got there, a new thing for us since we had never left a club before closing time.
In conclusion , I do not...
Read moreTerrible place. After being told it's the place for RnB and Hip hop lovers we booked a table. On arrival we were than shown to worlds smallest coffee table, which you could only seat two people and the remainder of the group would need to stand. Which wouldn't have been a huge problem except that there was an about an inch gap between us and the next table who also had a large group. We were constantly been pushed around by people trying to get past you couldn't stand for longer than 10 seconds without being shoved. The whole VIP things was a joke it was overbooked to the point that a shisha pipe and its coal was knocked over by a staff member and burnt one of our party, blistering her leg. Management at this venue has horrendous and just kept offering us a €3.40 bottle of Sparkling Perry and then dismissed it all. About half an hour later the same girl pulled a huge shard of glass out of her foot! Management couldn't care less regardless of The fact there was a lot of blood and she need first aid. The hostesses where The only people interested in helping and made sure she received some kind of clean up and bandage. I can deal with a dirty rave and people getting a bit roudy but this was on another level!! The only good thing about this place was the music but you if are English and speak little to no Spanish this club is very much a local spot as there was only our selves and another group of people there that were English. (may seem obvious as you know it's in Spain but it's not like the club's & bars alongside the Marina where there is a mix of tourists...
Read moreYesterday, August 6th 2022, I was assaulted by one of the security guards at this terrible establishment. I was dancing on the top level, having a great time with my fiancé, and my family. We didn’t bother a soul. Next thing I know, a security guard comes out of now where and drags me to an empty stairwell by the back of my neck with two others behind him. I asked him many times why he was doing this to me and he kept yelling at me to open my cross body bag. Then came in two random men with a smile on their faces who were not security, who I am assuming were there plotting with the security. The man proceeded to grab me by the neck and push me against the wall because I didn’t want to comply with his demands. Luckily, a man who works there, perhaps a manager, came through a door into the empty stairwell and I pleaded for him help me and I explained my situation. My brother and cousin were right outside the stairwell doors trying to come in to help me as they saw the worry on my face and fortunately my brother was able to bust through the door to be with me towards the end of this horrible situation. The man who worked there then told me and my brother that we could head downstairs together. I allowed a different security guard check my crossbody bag and they then apologized and told me they mistakenly confused me for someone else and offered us a free drink. We immediately left and never looked back. This place is horrible, shady, and have employees who are looking to truly ruin your whole night, vacation, or visit. I beg you not...
