I had the pleasure of enrolling in an evening course at Ole Spanish Language School in Barcelona, and I must say that it was a truly remarkable experience. From the moment I walked through their doors, I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm, setting the tone for the incredible journey of learning Spanish that awaited me.
The teachers at Ole are nothing short of amazing. Their expertise and passion for teaching the Spanish language are palpable, and their dedication to helping students succeed is truly commendable. Each class was not just a lesson but an engaging and interactive experience. The instructors' ability to adapt to different learning styles and paces ensured that every student felt comfortable and motivated to excel.
The evening course, with classes twice a week for two hours, was perfectly structured for someone with a busy schedule like mine. I found this frequency to be ideal for consistent progress, and I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of knowledge I acquired in a relatively short time. The lessons were well-organized, covering a wide range of topics, grammar, and vocabulary, all while maintaining an enjoyable and engaging atmosphere.
One of the aspects that stood out for me was the excellent environment at Ole. The school exudes a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that fosters a sense of community among the students. I made new friends from all over the world who shared the same goal of mastering the Spanish language, making the learning process not only educational but also incredibly fun.
In particular, I would like to highlight the patience, encouragement, and dedication of my teacher. Their teaching style was not only effective but also inspirational. I felt motivated to learn and improve with each class, and their willingness to answer questions and provide additional support outside of the classroom truly exceeded my expectations.
If you're considering learning Spanish in Barcelona, Ole Spanish Language School is the place to be. Their outstanding teachers, flexible course schedule, and nurturing environment make it the perfect choice for anyone looking to embark on a journey to master the Spanish language. I am immensely grateful for the knowledge and experience I gained during my time at Ole, and I wholeheartedly recommend this school to anyone seeking an exceptional language learning experience. ¡Gracias,...
Read moreMost of the teachers and staff are really professional and nice. They are really willing to offer you help and open to talk about the culture. But it's possible to have teacher who is really mean and somehow not really political correct. For example, as I was having the A1 class from the total beginning, two of my classmates have some basic knowledge, when I made mistakes or I didn't really follow the peace of the others, one teacher really laughed at me in a really unfriendly way. It's not just the problem of unprofessional. Don't get me wrong, I studied and am working in Europe since 2014, so I really understand the culutre not too bad. I know what is joke and what is simply being mean. At the first day of my A2 class, I had that teacher again. At the end of the class, someone just started the topic of "what's your dream of life". When it came to my turn, I said "My goal is Play hard, die young.", the teacher asked me how old I am. After I said that I'm 28 years old. He said " Then you should be alread dead.". That's the orginal sentece in English, so I don't really believe that's not offensive or poor manner in any culture. In the last 10 days those mean "joke" happened again and again, including topics like sexual and more. For example, he asked me in front of the whole class if I want to wear the female wedding dress by my wedding. I have no problem talking about that I'm gay. But what he did is much more than uneducated and unprofessional. I reported these to the language school, and the only solution was I have to change the class. And I haven't got any explanation afterwards. So I'm doubt about the attitude of the school of bullying, LGBTQI and so on. I'm writing this is not because I'm excepting anything from the school, but bacause that I have chatted with some other students of that teacher, and found out that he also tried to bully the other students. So if no one stand out and say something, he will simply do that agian without...
Read moreOkay, this is a long review... I have just finished a 5 week intensive A1 course and could not be happier with my experience at Olé. The learning curve was steep (which is what you want in an intensive course!) and I have come out of it feeling a lot more confident in speaking and understanding basic Spanish. In fact, I recently had a speaking and grammar test for an A2 course back in my home country and passed it without even needing to study! This is undoubtedly due to the teachers at Olé encouraging you to learn, practice and understand how spanish is used and not simply teaching you to memorise and translate lists of vocabulary. From the first week our teachers would speak to us in Spanish and expect us to speak to them in Spanish! I had 2 teachers throughout my time here: Amanda was very friendly and engaging. She really pushed us to do our best and would call us out when we didn't work hard enough, which we all need when learning something new! Saying that, she never made us feel uncomfortable speaking and no question was ever a stupid question with her. Amaia was our second teacher and she was so friendly and approachable. Our classes with Amaia usually involved speaking practice and games which had us all laughing on a daily basis. Both teachers were brilliant in my opinion and really took the time to get to know us so that by the end of the course, it felt like I was being taught by friends. The only improvement for me would be to have smaller classes so that each student can have even more chance to speak (as this was my weak point) but I understand that Olé has too many students for this to be possible and the need for more speaking practice was something personal to me. On the whole, I thoroughly recommend Olé to anyone who is in Barcelona and wants to try to learn Spanish. I hope to go back...
