Cafè del Sol — Restaurant in Barcelona

Dont trust these guys ...

We were 5 people. We saw 5 people finishing up. We asked the barman for their table. He agreed we could have it and we waited 15 minutes.

Then a guy and his daughter stroll up and take the table without waiting or reserving. We explained to them that we had reserved and been waiting. They refused to listen, were rude and continued to sit down.

We spoke to the same guy that we made our reservation with, who allowed the unreserved couple to stay and went back on his word to us He was now offering 1/2 the table for no more than three people with no apology.

No sense of customer service or even business. These guys are the biggest losers as they prefer to cower to rude old locals who buy a water and cana and sit at a table for an hour as opposed to five people wanting to spend an afternoon eating...

In town for just a couple of days and cycling around we came across this small cafe with terrace on the Placa del Sol. Service was correct but not the friendly approach we experienced when dining at other places in Barcelona We noticed the tables being thoroughly cleaned and other anti Covid-19 measurements like QR code for menu being adhered to ! One of the dishes we ordered was the cod/ shrimp omelet which was delicious and a recipe we are definitely going to copy whilst cooking at home 😎 Definitely good value for money and in a great spot on a quiet square in the...

Absolutely terrible terrible service! 3 friends: ordered bravas and beers, only to be kicked out because we had to order 3 tapas minimum. At 4pm. Absolutely insane! Then the excuse was “we are a restaurant, this is our policy”. Funny enough there was a bill in the table from the previous couple were you can see perfectly that they ordered 1 tapa to share. If this is your policy, at least be consistent with all your clients. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! There are better options...
