Gelats amb Sol AURELIEN — Restaurant in Barcelona

The terrific ice cream at this lovely, authentic little Grácia store is a welcome change from all of the disappointments I’ve experienced at a series of highly rated but thoroughly mediocre shops in the tourist centers. The pleasant and imaginative owner/maestro behind the counter concocts exotic flavors like rose, lavender, and hibiscus in addition to the usual crowd pleasers. His vegan chocolate stood out for its rich taste and texture—again, a welcome change from so many icy, watered-down versions—while the mango and coconut taste like…the actual fruits! I am a big ice cream fan and I have to say that Aurelien’s place is the winner of all the flavors🪸 I have ever try in Barcelona so far. Starting with the Jasmine, passing through the pistachio and vanilla without forgetting the strawberry for not mentioning all the vegan options he has… I will highly recommend to pass over at anytime of the day as the location in Plaza del sol, the most lovely plaza of Gracia. Aurelien, his team and also the beautiful decoration of the place will make you feel good at each time...

Was let down after going there with high expectations from seeing its high rating (4.9 at the time of review). The ice cream was slighthy grainy from ice particles, flavour was leaning towards bland and size was quite small for the 4.5€ "medium" size. Not giving it 2 stars because of the location and friendly staff, but overall a dissapointment. You can walk a couple minutes in several directions to find better...
