I’ve been coming here for 4 years, was on my go to list that i would recommend to all my clients and friends. i don’t know what happened but they removed their best items: the kale chips, the tacos, the tuna tonnato…. then, in 2 years we’ve been going at random times of the week and they’ve NEVER had the pina colada available on the menu. they always say they don’t have coconut milk but like come on for 2 years you never have milk??? why is it on the menu if you don’t have the ingredients ever??? 🤣🤣. we went tonight and they didn’t have most things we wanted, either unavailable or removed from the menu (it’s a wednesday so i don’t get it) and the food we order was very plain, even the bravas have changed and don’t taste as good. so i’ve unfortunately had to remove them from my favorites list and won’t be going back or recommending unless they do something about this because it’s really a shame.. it used to be our favorite restaurant in barcelona! :(

all i can say is: if it ain’t broken...

We found this place by accident and were not disappointed. The food was really nice. However I felt like the hostess or the main waitress was a bit racist towards us. We asked for 2 tables, she said no. Then we asked can we sit upstairs, she again said no. Then we suggested to sit outside and she again said no. She kept saying no instead of making a little bit of effort and help us. Then we suggested to split and sit on 3 tables outside, and finally she agreed as if it was her own house. Then later we asked if we could move inside if tables would be free, she said no. But we later saw that there were a lot of free tables inside. Also we saw she let people sit upstairs. The service was horrible. I think she was being racist towards us, I don’t see any other reason to behave like that. Very disappointing experience in Barcelona for a group of tourists. I hope the owner would read this comment if he cares about...

Absolutely unforgettable lunch at Café Salambó! We shared the tomates confitados con emulsión de albahaca and the pasta de la semana — mezzo paccheri with gorgonzola, parmigiano, and truffle — and honestly, we were fighting each other for every bite. These two dishes were next-level good. Lick-your-fingers, close-your-eyes, don’t-want-to-share kind of good. We were this close to ordering both again just to take home.

The appetizer was lovely, but those two main dishes? Total stars of the show. The combination of flavors, textures, and quality of ingredients was just perfection.

The service was also fantastic — warm, attentive, and happy to explain each dish in detail. You can tell they care about the food and the experience.

Already dreaming about my next visit. Coming back very,...

The quality of food was amazing, it tasted delicious. However, the quality of service was rather puzzling - confused reservation, missing cutlery on the table, not delivered food (they forgot some of our orders, but put it on the bill at the end anyway). Furthermore, some prices on the internet (their own website) and the menu were different. And then at the end, also some prices on the bill were different than on the menu. The prices themselves were too high. I am happy to pay higher prices if the quality of the service is great. This was not the case.

Had heard from local friends that the chef, Alfonso, makes very tasty dishes. So a couple friends and I visited during lunch time and the food was incredible. We got a very tasty pak choi tempura, a delicious goat cheese salad, shrimp tartar, salmon with a chutney type sauce, and an Iberian pork with apple sauce to name a few. All of the dishes were incredible and I won’t hesitate to visit again and check out the new concoctions the chef has to offer (I believe they have a regular rotating menu).

We had a great meal here for lunch off the Menu del Dia - plenty of choices to keep everyone happy and you can’t go wrong for $14. Was disappointed they only offered water for the drink for kids - it seems reasonless to not allow refrescos if a child is ordering when they obviously can’t drink wine. The fish aren’t deboned either. Otherwise I cant complain. The presentations were good, the waiter was attentive and everything tasted great.
