I had a horrific experience that I’ve never encountered anywhere else. I ordered a sandwich by the till and sat down and I had a look at a file on my laptop while waiting for my food. I was quickly confronted by the same young man who served me by the till that I had to stop immediately as laptops were not allowed during weekend. I explained I wasn’t staying for long and that I just needed to check something quickly and wouldn’t take their space for long but he demanded that I was not allowed to hold my laptop open and told me I was being difficult when I wanted to clarify their rules. He refused to let me speak to the owner over my concerns of his tone of voice and his overly dramatic gestures as if I committed a crime by asking to speak to someone else. I asked for a refund which was initially refused followed by him arguing with me that the food was ready so it was too late to cancel. He then brought me the money back followed by a rather dramatic act of grabbing my coffee and a plate off my hand and shouting at me to leave the place. Nothing can explain this level of disrespect and contempt for customers. I was shocked to say the least and I cannot imagine what was going through this man’s mind that led him to treat me like this but it was completely unacceptable. I wonder whether he would have behaved the same way towards a man. A point I’m trying to make is that we all have rules that we apply but the way he was enforcing them was completely irrational. You do not shout at a customer when they ask to speak to a manager, you generally do not shout at a customer, full stop. All I asked for was that I was allowed to finish my food but instead was told I...
Read moreWe came here for breakfast. First of all the menu does not have a lot of options. We were seating there for so long before they even thought to come and help us. I had to go and ask them to please take our order. Then they got our juice and we sat there for over half an hour and nothing. They were serving other people first before us and they had completely forgotten about our order. I know that because when I went to ask the guy was asking me what was my order. They didn’t even start with our order at least 30 mins went by and they didn’t even care. Then I told him we have to go and he motioned to the lady to not make the food as she was just going to start and make it. What a terrible experience. It wouldn’t take them long to put a piece of meat egg on a toast and bring it to us. Wow I don’t usually post reviews but in this case they didn’t even care to show they are sorry not even to discount 1 of the drinks or anything, I could tell they couldn’t care less. If you are touring the city and you don’t want to seat there and waste your time go anywhere else. We had better service...
Read moreIf you don't want to start the day with negative vibes, DON'T GO IN. It was 11:30, weekend, we were 4 people, all tables occupied, we understand perfectly. You can see it's a super hipster/instagrammeable place, but we trusted the good reviews on Google. Anyway, we didn't mind waiting so we, standing up, had a look at the menu in the meantime. After 15 minutes, one of the waiters said we could sit at the bar, even though there were 3 chairs, WE DIDN'T MIND EITHER. We started to feel uncomfortable because we could see that the allocation of clients was poorly managed (three medium tables occupied by two or one people). Aaanyway, while we sat down at the bar, the waitress asked if we were ready to order, and we said yes. The bar is L shaped. She ASKED us to stand up and order at the other side of the bar because THAT'S was where the cashier machine WAS. We COULDN'T BELIEVE IT. We stood up not to order but to leave immediately the place. Such an uncomfortable experience, really. Luckily we found a great place on the same side, just around the corner which made us...
