Cantinita Baja California — Restaurant in Barcelona

We've eaten here before and really liked it. This evening we got a table outside and ordered a caña each and six tacos. We were served our beers. Time passed. A lot of time. Finally we noticed that people who had arrived ages after us had been served their food. As we were starving 'we decided to abandon the wait and look elsewhere. I went inside to pay for the beers and explained that we had grown tired waiting. The staff argued amongst themselves about who had received the order/whether it had been received at all. No apology was offered. I'll put three stars because I don't want to drag down the average too much and we ate well here before but really it was a minus one...

Simply the worst margarita I have had. It had huge chunks of ice and it was not properly shaken. The lime juice was so bitter and sour that your teeth cringed and the tequila shine by its utter absence. It took 15 minutes to get the waiter (that was alone given the person at the bar never left to support the tables) after that you could how each drink was prepared with disdain and with a total disregard for the drink and the service. All in all we took 30 min just to get 2 badly...

There is a reason why the Mexican in the opposite corner is always full. Pensé en escribir una opinión muy detallada sobre este lugar, pero no quiero ser cruel ni desagradable. La atención fue muy buena, desafortunadamente no recomendaría este sitio a nadie. Se necesita muuuy poco para mejorar los platillos de manera dramática. Hay que esmerarse un poco y elegir mejor los ingredientes. Ni si quiera se necesita tener un gran chef. Bastaría con que los dueños probaran su propia comida de vez en cuando (si es que en verdad son mexicanos). Antes, se podría decir que ciertas cosas tendrían que ser adaptadas para llegar a nuevos paladares, pero ahora tooodo mundo ha probado buena y auténtica comida mexicana. La gente sabe. Este restaurante necesita un upgrade urgentemente. Tiene una buena ubicación, tiene en frente a un buen restaurante mexicano que siempreee esta lleno, que si no hay lugar bien se podría ir a este como segunda opción… no sé por dar ideas...
