Some food was bad, some horrible, service was mostly bad. Atmosphere was nice. The server did not speak any english so communication was strained. There was a meal with 2 fried eggs and a sausage. I asked to have 3 eggs and have them fried done sunny side. The manager who spoke english came out and said they cant do that because everything comes ‘together’. I asked why they cant just do sunny side, she said she would have to charge extra. The eggs ended up being an over-easy/flipped. They were simply placed on top of fries, nothing was made ‘together’. It was super lazy service, and they had zero interest in making a small tiny adjustment to what customer asked. Who doesnt know how to do Sunny Side eggs? This is a restaurant in Barcelona…. The burrata we ordered was a simple dish but absolutely delicious. We also ordered a meal with an egg, an octopus and some potatoes. The egg was pasty as if it came out of a freezer and it was as cold as our drink. It was absolutely disgusting and my wife felt like throwing up when she tried. We assumed this is meant to be this way, but i feel like the customer should be told the egg is made a certain way that is extremely rare. Never seen a cold pasty egg, the yolk resembled a cold custard cream that is wet. We also asked for water, the water was just some cold water poured into a glass container. Not sure why thats 2.50€. We undertaand being charged for bottled water or carbonated water but they just poured water into a glass container from tap. I almost never leave reviews but this was just so disappointing. Would never go here again if i...

Had the steak with Parmentier, cardinal styled macaroni, paella with seafood and artichokes, artichokes with cured meat, as well as mussels.

Steak portion was quite small for the price? But it was very very delicious, with a medium doneness, together with the Parmentier.

Macaroni was great but not fantastic. Yet it is quite worth the money as it was very filling.

Paella was superb, with a bit of charred rice and the sweetness from the seafood infused into the rice. The amount of squid was very generous, and the red cardinal prawns were also very sweet on their own. The artichoke in the middle provided a form of earthy, nutty flavor that combined well with the generally sweet and savory seafood and paella.

Artichoke with cured meat, the outside leaves were slightly nutty and went very well with the savory cured meat. But the insides were a bit raw in taste and might not be acceptable for most.

Mussels were disappointing as it wasn't the boiled mussels that I saw online, but felt and tasted more like canned mussels with slipshod plating.

The indoor looks interesting, but we were sat outdoors as there was a reservation for indoor seating. Weather was ok for al fresco but the amount of flies invading our food...

Ok… I travel a lot, eat out a lot and often disappointed and as you may see am not inspired to write many reviews but…!!! Not here, simply sensational, just go!!!! What a wonderfully lovely experience , one of the best finds I’ve come across in many years. The potato onion omelette, thinner than tortilla but omg, the freshness and flavour!!!! Served with tomato bread, but the best toasted light delicious tomato bread I’ve ever had, followed by tomato onion and belly tuna salad, nothing fancy but the quality of the fresh tomato’s the oil just bursting with flavour,a couple of sensational croquettes to finish off or am I finished???..as I’m still here!!!😂….. Well the extremely professional and delightful lady (Esperante, probably spelled that wrong) who has been serving me this evening and helping me choose through the menu recommends the Rioja to send me on my way… who am I to refuse. To all at the Casa Petra especially the lady whacking out the salads , desserts, olives, bread, ham behind the counter like a machine!!! I salute you all ❤️!!! You are special indeed!!! See you again I hope very soon 😊!!! One very very satisfied (usually dissatisfied)...
