Cerveseria Universitat — Restaurant in Barcelona

Ate and drank here 2 days on the bounce, opting for a very nice burger on day one which was excellent and at less than 5euros, excellent value for money. sangria by the glass is 6euro but nicely strong and excellent value. Service was fine and certainly no complaints from me. Day 2 we looked for an alternative on our walk but all we really saw were overpriced cafe bars or very little selection so we ended up back here. This time we decided on a jug of sangria, which in my opinion was a much weaker version than a glass but we did get 4 glasses out of it for 13 euros so still excellent value. We decided that as we only wanted a snack we would order 4 Tapa's dishes to share. Potato Bravas, Octopus salad, Spicey Sausage and chicken Croquet's. I missed my flight and was „stuck“ in Barcelona for a week. On my first day I didn’t had any plans and it was raining. I was just walking past the Cerveseria Universitat and one of the waiters asked me really kindly if he could help me. He recommended me something vegetarian because I asked for it and so I sat down and stayed for two hours in the end. Got a good cappuccino and tasty Tortilla de patatas. I started talking to the waiter, jordi, and he gave me a list of a few places where I could go on a rainy day. The prices are alright compared to Germany. I found some "body hair" from after I ordered "Russian salad" and eat it halfway. At first I ask waiter to keep it and I said that "I'm not gonna paid for this".

After that, I want to check bill for my beer and other food. So, I walk to inside of restaurant. But the bill still include the salad. I try to tell them that I'm not gonna paid for this since it dirty.

But the waiter is really rude. He said that the hair is belong to mind since I have a long hair(I'm asian).

We are arguing for about 3-4 minutes. In the end the restaurant exclude the bill for that salad. But they never say apologize to me.

Avoid this place. Don't and never gonna pass through it again. This place...
