Amazing! We had a 10/10 experience on our visits to Restaurante Casa Luz! We loved it so much we repeatedly came back! It is located on the 6th floor with beautifully decorated indoor and outdoor dining/ drinks. Wonderful drinks, food and amazing service- everyone was so nice and attentive. We sat on the Terrace each time we visited and loved the atmosphere, drinks and food so much. We stayed in the Sonder Hotel below and Restaurante Casa Luz made our experience so wonderful! We arrived for a pre-dinner drink and we were kindly seated on a table and promptly served some great wine by the glass. A great touch is that it is poured at the table for you even when drinking by the glass. We returned after dinner for another drink to soak up the atmosphere. Wine is great value at €4.50 per glass! We then visited for breakfast which exceeded our expectations entirely! There are 2 options - the first buffet only (€15) and the second is buffet plus a la carte (€20) - this comes with coffees, orange juice, water as standard. The breakfast was wonderful- the buffet includes fruit, yoghurts, fresh pastries, several types of fresh bread, an area to make pan con tomate, and the most delicious meats we had while in Barcelona. We also ordered from the menu- avocado, salmon and poached egg was 10/10, and the açai bowl was perfect! Amazing service, and great value for the experience while...
Read moreThis cozy and charming place is on the top floor of a hotel very close to La Rambla. It is nice to visit here if you want to get away from hustle and bustle also, if you’ve had enough tapas and do not want to have a expensive gastronomic meal this place is a perfect location. The vibe is hip and the staff is very fashionable. The tables overlook the city, and it is very beautiful. The dishes are also special. Our favorite was tomato tartar, which you put into a green leaf with a little pickled wasabi. This was an amazing dish. We also had the recommended grilled cheese sandwich with truffles and Iberico ham. We finished with a Christmas pasta roll stuffed with 3 kinds of meat and a whole Seabass. The Seabass was cooked perfectly and had essence of lemon and garlic and of course a beautiful butter sauce in terms of wine. It is mostly Spanish but you could also find germain and Frain wine. The prices of the entrées between 18 and €30 and the starters and tapas between three and €18. We visited Casa Luz on January 3 and so we did not get to take advantage of the rooftop bar. But If this was late spring or summertime. You could imagine that this rooftop bar which is huge would be hobby and so much fun with lots of 20 something 30 something eating delicious food and enjoying cocktails and wine. I will definitely visit again if I’m here When the...
Read moreI had an incredible meal last night at Casa Luz! This place was actually recommended by friend that came all the way at from Germany, she visited it during the week and said “I need to eat there again before I leave Barcelona”
The whole meal was absolutely delicious, we mostly had meat free dishes as my friend is a vegetarian.
Best dishes of the night were the Tomato Tartar and the Confit Leak, both dishes are very very good! Top notch!
For the first time ever, I tried a Canelón that actually tasted of something in Spain. The filling was very tasty for a Spanish canelón (I’ve never had good experiences with this dish in Spain).
We ordered the 3 deserts available and they were all incredibly good! Not sure which one I would pick as my favorite, but as I’m writing this review I’ll say the cheesecake!
The service wasn’t my favorite, but it wasn’t bad! Everyone was kind but I don’t know what felt wrong. The girl on the front desk looked kind of lost when we arrive (it may have been just a wrong perception on my part)
Overall, very good place that I’ll recommend to all of my friends! I’ll definitely come...
