El Bierzo a Tope — Restaurant in Barcelona

Oh, feather me sideways! My friends and I flew to Barcelona and visited El Bierzo e Tope, expecting a cluckin' good time. But alas, what we encountered was no ordinary chicken, but a bloodthirsty vampire bird on our plates! 🐔💉

The moment our dishes landed, we noticed our chicken was fresher than Count Dracula's thirst for blood. I half-expected it to burst into a "chicken-arella" dance! 😱 But hold your drumsticks, folks; this wasn't a flamenco performance – it was a culinary catastrophe!

As we took our first bites, we witnessed a scene from a gory horror movie. The chicken bled like a crimson fountain, making us wonder if we had stumbled into some twisted Halloween haunt instead of a restaurant. 🎃 The chef must have thought they were serving a tribute to Dracula's gourmet delight!

Naturally, we couldn't handle the creepy crawlies in our meal, so we politely requested another dish – one that hadn't RSVP'd to the Halloween party! But, oh no! The staff clucked at us like a herd of angry roosters and refused our request. 🚓🐓

Frustrated with the restaurant's indifference, we stood our ground and refused to pay for the bloody chicken. The situation escalated quickly as the restaurant threatened to call the police.

The police officers barged in completely ignoring our attempts to explain the situation. Instead, they squawked insistently, demanding we pay up or face felony charges. It was like being trapped in a poultry parade of ignorance and we couldn't wait to fly away from the absurdity. 🐔🙄💸

Finally, in defeat, we paid for the disastrous chicken, feeling like we'd been caught in a coop of clueless cops. We left the restaurant feeling less like customers and more like we had just witnessed a "fowl" play comedy hour. 🐔🏃‍♂️

If you're a fan of horror-themed dining and "bloody" surprises, this place might be for you. But if you prefer meals without a red carpet of blood, legal drama, and poultry police with their heads in the coop, I suggest flapping your wings and flying far, far away from El Bierzo e Tope.

El menu del dia esta bien ,correcto por 9,95 euros ,pero OJO con su carta. CALAMARES ROMANA A 10 EUROS ,mi amigo pensaba que es un restaurante normal corriente ,no debería ser tan caro ,entonces ha pedido un plato de calamares romana(congelada de supermercado,vamos )sin fija bien su carta ,ha resultado un plato más caro que su menú del día y más caro que restaurante en rambla de catalunya. ( he comido calamares romana en un restaurante de lujo en Rambla catalunya por 7,20 euros ) ,esto es una estafa. adjunto las dos facturas. LA COLOSAL ,un restaurante de nivel en RAMBLA CATALUNYA solo vende calamares romana por 7,20 euro, como la cocina esta abierta ,lo hacen en frente de ti, no es como suyo ,congelada y te vende por 10 euros. BE CAREFUL WITH THE MENU ,BECAUSE IT´S VERY VERY EXPENSIVE. The today´s menu is 9,95 euros ,you can have 2 courses and with one drink and desert included ,this is fine, but if you choose things out of the menu ,it´s ridiculous expensive. even more expensive than some high level restaurante in Rambla catalunya ,where those sophisticated restaurantes are. I have dinner on 30, may 2018 in a restaurante name LA COLOSAL ,which is high quality restaurante in rambla catalunya ,their CALAMARES ROMANA only 7,20 euros ,but this restaurante charged us for 10 euros ,my friend thought it´s just a normal bar, so it´s won´t be that expensive ,so he ordered without looking their menu ,he is local ...then we found out that it´s even more expensive than my today's menu ( i have one drink , one salada ,one grilled shrimps ,and one desert ), all that 9,95 ,usually today´s menu is around 10 here ,but then he just ordered one course and they charged it us for 10 euros. and the course is called calamares romana( roman-style squid ), it´s a frozen product .... not homemade... obviously from supermarket ...i used to go for their today´s menu ,and today ,my local barcelona friend came with me and we were shocked with their ¨price trap¨.... they are on gay street ,so it´s full of gay tourist ,that may explain whey it´s so expensive.... 千万不要点今日套餐外的东西，他们家就是今日套餐便宜。但是菜单如果单点的话比市区一些豪华餐厅还贵。 他们就是以便宜的套餐价格吸引人过去，再去宰你，特别是游客。 我住在巴塞罗那，我平时都是去吃今日套餐，就是有两道菜，包酒水和甜点，9.95欧，价格还比较公道。一般这个级别的酒吧就这价格。但是今天我本地的一个朋友跟我一起去的，他谁口点了一盘鱿鱼圈，一般这种街边酒吧也就5，6块最多了。后面结账的时候我们傻眼了。10块！...

Best meal we've had so far in Barcelona by a long shot. True generous local resto, not fine dining but full of locals, 1 of these corner restos all over eixample but 2 floors inside. Ridiculously cheap 11 euro 3 course menu big first course then grilled half chicken to die for, but many other choices, steak veal etc.. The menu included a glass of wine and dessert. They gave us a bottle instead, and I spilled half on myself, gave us another bottle. If you're ever here for a perfect simple meal this is it. I took the espalta de Cordero (shoulder blade I guess) Al horno a la carta, baked lamb shoulder not huge alas, but fantastic flavor I have craved since last time in mallorca... Delish. This is comfort food at its best, Barcelona style. Very friendly owners I suspect...
