My mother always tells me I have an issue with salt... And she's right, I eat too much salt. So far it hasn't been an issue because I run a lot, ergo I sweat a lot, ergo I lose a lot of salt... but still, I should eat less salt. But I'm so used to it... I was raised like this, not by my mother but by my grandmother who would add salt to everything before even trying. 🤷 That said, I'm still able to feel when something lacks salt or has too much salt. And I feel like, lately, when you go to a restaurant, food is either too salty or not enough (and this opinion is confirmed by other guests, so it's not just me 😉). Months ago, we went to Farró, which is a small dish (or big tapas, as you wish) restaurant located literally meters from our place. The service was great, the atmosphere was good, we were with good friends, our son was a bit moody (kids will be kids) but he was with us too (and that's always great 💙), the food wasn't expensive (around €20 per person, no drinks) and the presentation of the food was spectacular but... the cooks apparently lost the salt shaker 🧂. 😓 Absolutely everything that was cooked (not the pickled fish, of course) lacked salt. 😢 That's a pity cause I could feel the ingredients were good, even the recipes seemed great but, yeah, everything was dull and became way better as soon as we added salt... but adding salt afterwards isn't the same. 😞 I'll give it another try cause I'm convinced (well, I hope) that was just a hiccup. 🙏

Always passed by and the menu looks really good. Unfortunately the food….. we ordered the bomba de la Barceloneta and it arrived cold. We had the ensalada rusa, the tomato tartar with pickled anchovies, and it was bland and tasteless as it all lacked salt. As my main, I ordered the entrecôte medium rare with a sow of fries and pimientos de padrón. They brought everything out, except for my entrcote. Everyone at the table had finished the starters and mains, and still, no entrecôte. When it finally did arrive, it was overcooked, dry and rubbery and COLD. Sent it back. Such a shame as the restaurant is nice inside and we live next door, but they are in desperate need of staff and a...
