During my recent visit to Barcelona, I had the pleasure of dining at Memorias de China, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. If you’re searching for an authentic Chinese restaurant in the city, this is undoubtedly a top choice.
From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance. The restaurant exudes a sophisticated yet cozy atmosphere, perfect for both intimate dinners and group gatherings. The staff were incredibly patient, attentive, and welcoming, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.
Now, let’s talk about the food—an absolute delight! The menu offers a fantastic selection of classic Chinese dishes, including Chinese fried rice, roast duck, fried noodles, and lobster, among many others. We even got to choose our lobster 😊. Each dish was packed with rich, authentic flavors, and the portions were right without compromising on quality.
One standout dish that deserves special mention is the Lobster with Salt and Pepper, an apparent favorite among guests, and for good reason. The lobster was cooked to perfection, boasting a delightful balance of crispiness and succulence, with the seasoning enhancing its natural sweetness. It was easily the star of the meal for me.
Though I was too eager to dig into my meal, I managed to snap a few pictures to capture my experience. I can confidently say that Memorias de China is a must-visit for anyone in Barcelona looking for high-quality, authentic Chinese cuisine. I will certainly be returning for another...
Read moreI would go back to this restaurant again. First of all, we only ordered dim sum and some select dishes. We did not try the set menu. The shrimp dumplings (ha gow) and siu mai were authentic and good. Fried calamari was excellent. The chinese eggplant was the best that I have had in Barcelona. My favorite cantonese comfort food, scrambled eggs and tomates, was sublime. Their vegetarian crispy fried noodles was on par with what I've had in San Francisco.
The interior of the restaurant is decorated impressively with Xi'an style terracotta warriors in their back outdoor seating. It is an elegent restaurant with many large round tables which is great for family gatherings.
Overall the service and place settings were very nice and upscale. The food quality and attention to detail also reflected this elevated level. I have this on my list of excellent Chinese restaurants for special occasions or large...
