The Miners Coffee Via Augusta — Restaurant in Barcelona

I leave this review as advice more than anything else as the food, coffee and service is really, really good. HOWEVER the vibe is basically a coworking - when we went, every single table was occupied with people on laptops. We wanted to have brunch and literally had to squeeze onto a bench with someone who was working. I appreciate that it’s nice for people to work in a coffee place like this one, but honestly it felt like I had taken my husband to have breakfast at my workplace 😅 the vibe is just really weird - I felt like I had to talk in hushed tones to avoid disturbing anyone… I guess the review is really more for the people going and sitting at a table 8 hours whilst investing in a single espresso because they’re too cheap to pay for a coworking rather than being aimed at the restaurant itself but it might help to dedicate one space for people working and another for people who actually want to enjoy a coffee/breakfast and talk...

Whenever I’m in this part of the city, The Miners Via Augusta is a must-stop for me. I don’t live nearby, but I always make the detour — it’s that good. I usually go for the batch brew, and it never disappoints. The pecan pie is my top pick to go with it — a perfect combo. Zhenya and Diana are incredible baristas: they’re always welcoming, suggest great options, and take the time to explain what kind of batch is on at the moment. Coffee was great The cheese "pancakes" were great (it's nothing like usual pancakes, it's unlike anything else, but it's soo good) They have a long counter for coworking space, as well as a large shared table, so it's good for getting some work done. Also a couple of small tables to chat with a friend. It's a small space though.
