I wanted to try this almost new sushi restaurant in the city center pushed by the good reviews here and there. The atmosphere is generally too cold, the waiter try to do her best but it is not enough, especially because it was alone in a pretty crowded friday night. Unagi nigiri (my favorite) is not listed in the menu, but with our surprise it was suggested by the waiter as a plate of the day, just by voice, so not chance to check the price in advance. we were not worried about it, since all the other listed items were in the average price for a medium quality sushi restaurants..so we asked 2 as starter and other 2 at the end of a pleasant dinner (nothing special, but still pleasant). The big surprise came with the bill, the unagi, listed in the bill as Snow Crab (apparently it has not yet inserted in the counter list) costed to me 10,50 for 2 pieces: 21 euro for 4 small balls of rice with eel on the top!!! I did not hesitate to ask for a reasonable explication: the nice waiter told me: sorry , this plate doesn't have been yet inserted in the counter, so this is the price ..fortunately I didn t have to insist to pay only one of the 2 ordered. Be careful and ask for the...

You know a restaurant is off to a good start when they surprise you with homemade vegetable chips as a free appetiser. Light, crispy, and dangerously addictive—I would come back just for those. We also ordered edamame, because it is always a classic, and it did not disappoint.
Now, about the mains. I tried the ox meat rice, and let me just say—this is not your typical crowd-pleaser. It is rich, bold, and definitely something you need to be in the mood for. I liked it, but I will be honest—it is not for everyone, so order wisely. On my second visit, I went for the salmon with rice, and wow. That dish? No second guessing—just perfect. Fresh, flavorful, and the kind of meal you do not want to share.
The vibe at Kiku is casual but cozy, perfect for relaxed dinners or catching up with friends. And with the generous portions, you definitely will not leave hungry.
Pro tip: Grab the salmon rice, enjoy the free veggie chips, and leave room for dessert (you will regret it if you do not).
Would I come back? Already planning my...
Read moreAmbiente inicial agradable.
