TL;DR: Very good service. However, the less-than-extraordinary flavours and the small portion sizes do not justify the prices. My advice? Don’t come hungry, unless you’re willing to shell out at least €35-40 per person to feel properly full. I wasn’t, so I left hungry. To be honest, it was a bit disappointing. Maybe it was the photos on Google Maps or the name, or me being in a vegetarian phase, but I really wanted to try this place. But I guess high expectations can sometimes ruin an okay experience. We ordered the cauliflower, the roasted eggplant, and the bean hummus. The cauliflower was delicious, but it was sitting on a strangely sweet little smidge of mashed potatoes. The waiter explained it was there “to balance out the flavours”. I’m not quite convinced. I like the taste of cauliflower as it is. The eggplant tasted somewhat bitter, and there was hardly any tahini in it at all. If they had left the skin on it and roasted it on an open flame, and then added a proper serving of tahini with garlic and lemon, I think it would have tasted a lot better. Finally, the hummus was just bland. It’s a nice idea to make it out of beans instead of chickpeas, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t need seasoning! And those weird little seed crackers? I would have preferred some simple pocket bread. Really, you don’t have to put a pretentious twist on everything. Some things are perfect just the way they are. We would have ordered a brownie for dessert, but for €7 we thought better of it. The only redeeming part of the dinner was the decaf oat latte. All in all, I loved the idea, but the execution was a flop. Would not recommend.

A Plant-Based Paradise in Barcelona! Fat Veggies is hands down one of the best vegetarian restaurants I’ve ever been to, not just in Barcelona, but anywhere. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a cozy, inviting vibe and smiles from the incredibly kind and friendly staff. Their genuine warmth makes you feel right at home and sets the tone for an amazing dining experience. Now, onto the food—WOW! Every dish is a masterpiece. The flavors are bold, fresh, and beautifully balanced, showcasing just how exciting plant-based cuisine can be. Whether you’re trying their signature dishes or venturing into something new, you’re in for a treat. The portions are generous, and the presentation is stunning, making each plate Instagram-worthy! And let’s talk about the drinks! They’re a highlight all on their own. From refreshing juices to creative cocktails, everything tastes vibrant and natural, with just the right touch of sweetness or zing. It’s clear they put as much thought into the drinks as they do the food. Fat Veggies isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. It’s a place where food lovers, vegetarians, and even die-hard meat eaters will walk away happy and satisfied. The combination of delicious, innovative food, fresh and flavorful drinks, and the warmest team of people makes this spot an absolute must-visit in Barcelona. Trust me, once you’ve been here, you’ll be counting down the days until you can go back!

We went there tonight and the food was good and interesting (I mean the choices made : hummus and nori + sesame seeds kind of chips). Liked the chickpeas pancakes as well. Lots of vegan options and I tried the Peona Orange, which was nice too. My only and real concern : we were asked twice by the male (mid long and dark haired) waiter if we were good, which could sound nice, only to bring us the note, so we could pay and leave. When there were still people around eating and having drinks. I have to say that we were there late, after 11pm, BUT if you ask us to leave, do the same with the other clients. I don't want to make any "wrong" assumptions here, but he was very insisting on the " are you done now guys, do you want anything else", while clearly we hadn't finish drinking and were having a great time. Would not recommend for this. Just felt very rude and insisting when we had asked for more drinks, had to wait a certain amount of time, didn't complain, only to be "thrown out" when the rest of the world was allowed and unbothered by that same waiter. RUDE AS HELL. And we pay you ? Crazy. I get that you want to go home and are tired, but just say you're closing and we'll leave. No bad blood. And when we left, they didn't even bother to say goodbye. Ugh. Do not recommend, although the food was nice.
