Bar Snack 55 — Restaurant in Barcelona

I've been here several times, but suddenly today the security guard wouldn't let me in with my friends after a few months because supposedly some acquaintance of mine took a beer from the bar in a glass and drank it around the corner, when both times we took beers we poured them into a plastic cup. Either he mistook us for someone else, or he mistook some random person for my friend. It was really awkward and unpleasant. In a situation where I did nothing wrong, a random security guard refuses me entry because he imagines something. The staff initially didn't know what he was talking about, and when I later approached to ask whom he meant, he didn't answer me, and the bartender was also unpleasant and told me to leave. I want to emphasize that I was sober and came to have a late dinner with friends and have a drink. In my opinion, the bar was deserving 5 stars, but fortunately, I haven't had the chance to review it yet. I felt like trash when other people saw the security guard not letting me into the bar, as if I had done something terrible in there. The security guard wouldn't let me talk to the owner of the venue or anyone else. Really a tragedy. I would change the security guard to someone who doesn't have delusions and doesn't have problems identifying people. The bar is nice, but the service is terrible. I don't recommend it because of this...

We were greeted well by the staff and I was very much looking forward to enjoying this bar with my friends and having the 1L drinks for €5 (these were very nice also) however, a waitress with long dark hair approached us and asked us to remain quiet, now being in a busy small capacity venue with music playing... We were not being inappropriate or loud. A bar man also agreed with us about this. We were then continuously being treated bad by two female staff (we speak English, Spanish and French). As a tourist who was enjoying this bar I would not recommend going. Which is unfortunate for the other her staff who were very kind.

Also as a qualified sound engineer the level of an indoor venue should succeed no more than maybe 87dB. I recorded the atmosphere along with us talking and it was below this, as we were speaking the same volume as the rest of the customers. Therefor I feel we were very fairly untreated...

Wait staff were immediately rude. We moved a table on the terrace literally a few feet to avoid having a tree between us and the outdoor screen (we were there to watch the England vs Sweden World Cup match) and despite disturbing no one we were shouted at and forced to move the table back. Even this was not good enough, as later another waitress had to come out and rotate it slightly.

Despite stringent rules on table location, it took 20 minutes for staff to take our food and drink orders. We then had to pay immediately, which is unusual in Spain, although the reason became obvious once we waited another 45 minutes for our simple food order to come through. And during three rounds of drinks, not once were correct drinks delivered.

If it hadn’t been for the match, we would have left immediately. Certainly we won’t be coming back. A shame, because the outdoor screen is a nice feature...
