Don’t let the reviews fool you! I visited this Turkish restaurant based on the reviews, and I’ve never been this dissatisfied! I am from Turkey myself and can easily point out what’s authentic real Turkish food. I can’t say anything much about the food, because I wasn’t able to come that far - for the tasting. Out of what it looked like, the food looked eatable, but not inviting. Let’s come to the main point. The empty plates we got served for the starters were absolutely dirty. I went over the plates with a napkin, and that white napkin was suddenly brown/yellow. I was shocked. Went back in and told them nicely “if you’re going to serve me food, make sure the plates are clean. This is not acceptable”. They nod there head yes, and came back with clean plates (newly washed). After a couple minutes the food arrives. My partner ordered pide with cheese and egg. She wanted som extra cheese on her pide, so I went back in and asked if it were possible to get some extra. The waitress got us a small plate with extra mozzarella cheese. My girlfriend noticed green dots on the cheese right before adding it on the pide, and asked me to confirm if what she sees is what she think it is. And yes. Old muddy cheese. The extra cheese they served us was so old that the cheese was turned to green dots everywhere on the cheese. “Don’t they really see what they serve?” “Did they put the same cheese inside the pide?” “I just took a bite of it” All these thoughts were running through my head. This shows me that they’re not hygienic enough and are actually playing with people’s health. I went back in and asked for the manager. Showed him the cheese, and he agreed on that it was old. I mean, even a kid wouldn’t eat that. I had enough. Dirty plates, old cheese and a manager that doesn’t lesson his staff. He repeatedly told me “The chef didn’t use the same cheese inside the pide. Safe to eat” I replied with “I can’t know that. After all this. I don’t even believe yours words. If I were to get sick after this meal, I’ll take this further” I payed 0, and left the restaurant with my partner. We are NEVER going back here again. Haven’t seen such terrible restaurant before! Literally putting peoples health to danger. If it were up to me, I’d shot this place down. And the manager should be happy I spoke Turkish, if I were to speak English between all his customers, there would be no one sitting there anymore. I wish I did. Feel like everyone...

I visited Bella Istanbul tonight with a guest, expecting a pleasant experience based on its good reviews. We placed an order for takeout and, before leaving, decided to use the restroom. However, a staff member rudely refused to let us use it, claiming it was only for customers. Despite informing her that we had already ordered, she remained dismissive, clearly not believing us. Her attitude was unwelcoming and lacked basic courtesy.
While I understand that it's their policy to restrict restroom use to customers, I was disappointed by the lack of compassion and basic kindness. Restaurants should show humanity and understanding, even to non-customers. Unfortunately, this experience has left a negative impression , and I cannot recommend this place.Hospitality is about more than just good food; it's about treating people with kindness and respect, whether they’re spending a lot or just grabbing takeout. Sadly, this establishment failed in that regard.
I sincerely hope they train their staff to treat people with more respect and empathy in the future. Everyone deserves to be treated with decency, regardless of the situation.
This version gives more emphasis to your dissatisfaction, stressing how the lack of hospitality overshadowed the positive aspects of the restaurant. It also appeals directly to management for improvement, which can be more effective in bringing...
Read moreMy friends and I were craving kebabs late at night and wanted to find a good, clean place to eat. We came across Bella Istanbul on the map and decided to give it a try.
As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted by our server, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. She patiently explained everything to us, even though we asked a lot of questions about the kebabs, the menu, and more. She remained super sweet and attentive throughout our entire visit.
The restaurant itself is cozy and very clean, and all the staff members were friendly and helpful. Since we only wanted takeaway kebabs, we didn’t stay long. We ordered four of the same kebabs for everyone, and while they weren’t huge, they were packed with a generous amount of meat and vegetables. The filling was absolutely delicious! In the end, we couldn’t even finish them because they were so tasty and filling. Plus, each döner kebab was only 5.90, which is an amazing price for such great quality and portion size.
We enjoyed the food so much that we decided to come back another time to dine in and try a full meal at the restaurant. I definitely recommend this place, it’s a great spot to enjoy delicious...
