Fella Pizza is the definition of an unbelievable hidden gem that you trip across and adore.
Lili and I vacationed in Barcelona and ate here multiple times, sometimes as a snack and sometimes as a meal itself. If we lived here, this would be "our place" to bring visiting friends.
There are multiple specific things to praise: The owner, Marco Cuzzonlin, is the nicest guy and tremendously passionate about the quality of product, customer experience, and service level. The quality of ingredients is evident in every bite and in the visual beauty on display. The shop itself is quite small with just a few tables as most people eat take-away but it is spotless with lovely music in the air. Marco knows most people eat take-away, so he purposefully slightly under-cooks the product in display, then when you choose your slice(s) he places them in the oven for last minute finishing; or, if you are going to eat at home, there are directions on the pizza box for oven or pan finishing so you have the same taste and experience at home as you would in the restaurant. That is smart smart smart. And caring. The ingredient combinations are innovative and truly authentic. There are two styles: classic Roman with focaccia that is thicker, and thinner crunchier style from Pullyou (sp?) Italy.
One of the times Lili and I tried to go they were closed which was our fault. When we next went, I told Marco, "Oh you were closed yesterday when we tried to come." He felt so badly he gave us a loaf of bread and free slices for my lovely wife who was back at the hotel!
I really can't say enough about this place, the food and the owner.

Read moreThe best pizza on our entire trip through Europe. The staff is fun and excited to create such incredible food. We made friends with them after the second visit.
We visited at least four times and it was great every time. We were so happy this was in the area we enjoyed the most as well.
I’m eating a slice of mushroom right now before we fly back to the US and I’m trying to take my time. It’s so good and I’m not sure I’ll find something this well made in a long time.
It’s so obvious the chefs love their work and making great food. I wouldn’t be surprised if this got a Michelin star at some point. Just exceptional in every way.
From the smells you walk into, the slate they serve the pizza on, or the glow of the staff. Incredible. I will...
Read moreTremendous. Great focaccia made by Italian and excellent variety at a great price. It's all made fresh and I have not had a single one that I didn't enjoy. Also have some great vegan options and a good selection of beverages (including some great artisan beers and good wine). Try the Focaccilo. My only wish is that they had a dessert or sweet option. I know it's not "traditional" Italian but a focaccia with sliced apples and caramel or peaches with sweet cream would be delicious. All that said, this is one of the best focacciarias in the city and you will be hard pressed to find a better snack...
