I am writing to share some feedback regarding our recent visit to your establishment on April 17,2024 at 17:00.
First and foremost, I want to express our delight with the delicious desserts we had the pleasure of trying. The cheesecake and lemon pie were exceptional and truly lived up to the high praise they had received through word-of-mouth recommendations.
However, I would like to bring to your attention a few areas where I believe there is room for improvement. In particular service and attitude of server working that afternoon. Upon our arrival, I requested a regular menu as my phone battery was critically low, but I was informed that paper menus were not available and that we could only access the menu through a QR code. While I understand the move towards digital menus, having a backup option for instances like mine would greatly enhance the customer experience.
Furthermore, during our interaction with the waiter, there were some instances that left us feeling slightly uncomfortable. Upon arrival at 17:00 (not busy as we were the only customers in the restaurant) the server seemed dissatisfied when we mentioned we were only having desserts. He cleared our cutlery setting and left 4 spoons.
Our desserts were served and when we requested a knife to share/cut the cheesecake. The waiter said that the spoons are there for the desserts suggesting that the spoon enough good enough to split the cheesecake. He pretty much seemed reluctant and then appeared visibly annoyed when fulfilling our request. Then I had to repeat and ask for a knife. He gave the knife with a sarcastic tone “cuchillo”.
Additionally, there was a delay in taking our drink orders, and we had to wait and actively seek the waiter's attention after being left unattended for quite a while. He did not ask us for drink orders and usually this is the first thing guests are usually asked. So there we were with desserts on the table waiting. Soon after we were able to call his attention then asked if can please order drinks. At this point, I can tell we were being a bother to him as customers. These instances and oversight led us to feel neglected as customers, which is not the experience we anticipated.
I believe that addressing these issues will contribute to ensuring consistently excellent customer service at your establishment.
Thank you for taking the time to consider...
Read moreQuite overpriced, not as much as the attached shop next door where I genuinely saw a sachet of Thai yellow curry paste that costs 60c in the local Asian store for 2.9 euros. Coffee is reasonably priced, everything else is about 20-30% extra on what you could expect locally.
The menu itself is inventive with lots of cool different flavours. My food was good, but salty.
The main problem is the service, it's generally slow and a couple of the team on the day were downright rude.
We waited almost an hour for our food, when after 50 minutes or so we saw tables being served who arrived way after us we asked about our food super politely, and then within a few minutes the wrong food arrived at our table.
We then asked them to change this, within 30 seconds the correct food arrived (so clearly just a mistake in expediting from the kitchen as it was already made) and as it had been an hour we finished our drinks so we flagged down the waiter to ask for some water at which point the server rolled their eyes and told their colleague 'table two wants something... Again'.. clearly forgetting that people there may actually speak Spanish.
Overall I kind of see what they are going for here with an inventive menu and a concept clearly angled at expats and tourists looking for the insta experience, if you execute that super well with great service that market will pay that premium. However to me it seems that frankly some of the staff resent the customers and little effort is made to provide a friendly and quality experience. It rather starts to feel just like a bit...
Read moreI have visited here for several years for breakfast, brunch and evening drinks. The reason was because their menu had some products from Turkish cuisine and I heard that the owner was or one of the owners was Turkish. However in any visit I never felt that staff were friendly or qualified about their service specifically in my last visit. Basically we went there around 18:30 with my girlfriend to have some dessert. We sat down and asked suggestion from the waiter and he suggested us San Sebastián cheesecake so we ordered it and for drinks we asked two coffee with milk. Waiter took the order and went to prepare it after I saw him speaking with another waiter and then he came back to us say that the coffee machine was clean and they don’t want to make coffee they suggest us to order some cocktails or advised us to go to their bakery for the coffees which was ridiculous because bakery part was just for take aways. Of course I decided to not spent any cent for this business and also I mentioned the stuff that this was very rude. Guess what the staff said the boss wants to sell more expensive drink after certain hours like cocktails that’s why she told us to not serve coffee which was very funny to mention...
