I recently visited Pizza Parking restaurant with high hopes of enjoying a delicious meal, but alas, my experience turned out to be utterly disappointing. As someone who suffers from lactose intolerance, I was shocked to find that this so-called "establishment" offered absolutely no options for people with dietary restrictions. The lack of consideration for those with special dietary needs was truly disheartening.
Upon asking the staff if they had any lactose-free pizza options, I was met with blank stares and a complete lack of knowledge. It was as if they had never even heard of lactose intolerance, which is quite surprising for a restaurant in this day and age. The staff seemed clueless and uninterested in accommodating my dietary requirements, leaving me feeling disregarded and unimportant as a customer.
To my dismay, when I inquired if I could have a Pita instead, the response was nothing short of rigid and inflexible. They refused to allow me to enjoy a Pita in the same establishment, despite the fact that their menu seemed to have some overlap with Mediterranean dishes. Their unwillingness to be accommodating only added insult to injury, leaving me feeling unwelcome and ostracized.
The lack of understanding and unwillingness to cater to their customers' needs speaks volumes about the restaurant's disregard for their clientele. A truly customer-centric establishment would take pride in being able to serve all customers, regardless of their dietary requirements. Sadly, Pizza Parking falls short in this regard.
Furthermore, the ambiance and overall atmosphere of the restaurant left much to be desired. The lighting was dim, and the place looked tired and poorly maintained. Combined with the evident lack of consideration for diverse dietary needs, this only added to the disappointment of the overall experience.
In conclusion, my visit to Pizza Parking was an absolute letdown. Their refusal to provide any options for lactose-intolerant individuals and their inflexibility with allowing me to eat a Pita in the same restaurant left me feeling undervalued as a customer. I would strongly advise anyone with dietary restrictions to steer clear of this establishment, as it's evident that their priorities lie elsewhere and not in providing a welcoming and accommodating dining experience for...
Read moreWe went to Parking Pita, since we had a great experience at Parking Pizza, its sister restaurant.
Man, was this a BAD experience.
The place is serving Israeli style food, presented beautifully in a gorgeous space, but in one word it is simply off.
Although many of the dishes are replications of similar dishes served at Miznon, the successful Israeli pita-bar chain by celebrity chef Eyal Shani, the people in the kitchen at Parking Pita fail miserably in trying to replicate them.
Here are some specific issues:
The falafel has no spices and herbs and is under cooked inside (it also costs 9€ for 5 small falafel balls).
Tahini isn’t used at all. Not even accompanying the falafel??
The seasoning of the dishes is simply off. On the one hand, there is an explosion of flavours to way too many direction; at the same time, they miss basic ingredients such as salt and lemon.
Take for example the Jerusalem Salad, it’s a tiny ball (I mean 4 spoons and you ate the entire salad), priced at 7.95€. Forget for a minute how bad of a value it is, it’s also bad. Too much fresh onion, and not enough olive oil, salt and lemon.
Hummus with feta is another wired attempt to try to be creative, but you wouldn’t find one restaurant in Israel that offers this combination.
And importantly: the pitas are smaller by about 50% in volume compared to the standard size of a pita. How cheap can one be? This makes the main dishes an extremely poor value option.
We really wanted to love this place, and we sampled almost the entire menu (we were a group of 9 Israelis). But this was a huge disappointment and the value for what you get is probably one of the worst in Barcelona.
I strongly encourage the owners to send the team in the kitchen for an educational tour in Tel-Aviv, or replace them with someone who knows how to prepare Israeli food. They can also learn something about being generous with customers.
AVOID this place(!) and go have a pizza at the nearby...
Read moreAtmosphere: Visiting Restaurant Parking Pizza in Barcelona was an absolute delight! The atmosphere is nothing short of fabulous. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a vibrant and trendy setting that effortlessly combines modern design with a cozy, welcoming vibe. The open kitchen allows you to see the chefs in action, which adds to the lively ambiance. The lighting is perfect for a relaxed meal, and the music complements the overall mood without being overpowering. Whether you're dining with friends or on a casual date, the atmosphere here sets the perfect stage for a great night out.
Service: The service at Parking Pizza is decent, though not exceptional. The staff is friendly and attentive, but the overall pace can be a bit slow during peak hours. They get the job done efficiently, but there's room for improvement in terms of promptness. However, they are knowledgeable about the menu and can offer good recommendations if you’re unsure of what to order.
Pizza: Now, let’s talk about the pizza. It’s tasty and well-made, with a nice balance of flavors and a crispy, thin crust. However, it’s important to note that this isn’t traditional Italian pizza. Rather, it feels like a reproduction – a creative spin on the classic. If you’re a purist looking for an authentic Italian pizza experience, you might find it lacking. But if you’re open to trying something a bit different, you’ll likely enjoy the unique take on pizza that Parking Pizza offers. The ingredients are fresh, and the variety on the menu is quite impressive, catering to different tastes and preferences.
Overall: Parking Pizza is a great spot if you’re looking for a lively atmosphere and good food in Barcelona. While the pizza may not be the most authentic Italian you’ll find, it’s definitely flavorful...
